Watch out for this buyer on EBAY, he recently tried to scam me
Sanxo
Esteban Sanchez Lopez
Calle Santa Cruz 11 pta 8
(Cuartel Guardia Civil)
Landete 16330
Spain
He recently purchased one of my items from one of my sellers on ebay.
The address is ⊗⊗⊗⊗. It shows up on google as calle cruz 11. When I looked at the street view pictures it looks like a building is there. But when you really look at the satellite picture, its just a wall, with an empty grass lot. I'm guessing they leave the walls up as fences to keep people out of there. It took me a few minutes of looking at different maps to figure it out. By the way, the buyer tried to make it look like its going to a police station (guardia civil), there is no police station there and the closest one is over 4 kilometers away in another town.
Funny thing is he has 105 feedbacks as a buyer and seller, so he looks like a real buyer. I messaged him and wrote: Greetings,
Before we send your order, we need for you to confirm your address for shipping.... our system can not find your street. Can you please fill out the details below so we can ensure your package arrives.
Name?:
Street adress and number?:
Apartment number?:
Town: LANDETE
Postal code: 16330
Country: SPAIN
Phone Number?:
Delivery Instructions:
Thank you"
After I recieved his response, I wrote: "Greetings,
We can not deliver to that address. the post office can not verify your address. I looked myself and can not find "santa cruz 11".... there is a similar address but there are no buildings on that address based on satellite map images.
We need an address to a real building and a real street.
You may cancel the order or we will cancel it for you. We require the postal service be able to locate you and delivery the package to your hands with signature confirmation.
Please update the address in ebay and paypal so the package can be delivered.
Thank you and we are awaiting your reply...."
He cancelled the order and we reversed the transaction.
Seller tip of the day: "be careful and check the buyers address before you send a package."
I've been doing it since I started ebay to make sure the address the buyer provides me is real, the spelling is accurate, and to do some virtual traveling and see how the rest of the world looks like from the comfort of my chair.
