@vm - what worked for me was finding a very specific niche and then embedding myself deep in it, very slowly building my buying power to the point where it is now. Jumping from one trendy phake product to another is not a viable business model, IMO (which is what DHgate flippers generally do). Chinese suppliers will mix in defective units and by the time you sell the lot you're lucky if you break even after returns/refunds. I learned this the hard way a few years ago with "no-no's". They seemed to be very profitable - but they ultimately weren't. While I'd profit $50 per unit sold I would have to issue refunds for 20% of units sold. | Very impressive

I dont sell on ebay full time anymore. I'm actually a truck driver now and make about 300-500 per day driving heavy haul loads with my own truck.
I make an extra $2-4k per month cashing paypal checks for other people who have limited paypal accounts, I sometimes cash Google ad sense checks also. For limited paypal checks or bank withdraws, I charge anywhere from 15-30%. Its easy work, I wait for the check to arrive, deposit the check from my phone and send the money to the client minus my fee.

Just stamp the back with your stamper, deposit it.. paypal nor the bank cares about the name on the check.

For years I was making on average about £300 profit per month but I recently changed strategy and I am now making £1500 profit per month and rapidly rising which to me is amazing although probably a lot lower than most of the professional sellers on here. I am making £1500 using 2 accounts but I intend to start using 2 more accounts so having 4 running in total.
I have no idea how long it will last so I will enjoy it whilst it lasts. Potentially if I get extra accounts I could double or triple this number. Interesting times ahead I really hope managed payments doesn't come along and ruin it although it's my understanding that a lot of progress has been made towards a managed payments stealth account system we will see.

The sky is the limit if someone has the right resources and desire.
I think MOST of us on here the past decade or so are burnt out. Things get more challenging and less fun for most of us and that causes complacency.
There was people on here selling a few hundred grand a month. There is a lot of us here selling a million dollars a year or more.
It takes time, energy, resources and constant dedication.

I just received a text message from a wholesale buyer who says he gives up ebay and going back to painting cars LOL
He doesn't even have any significant issues. I think it is mostly boring these days.

Doing about 2-3k net prof a month. It's my only source of income but i'm happy being my own boss. Nice to see a lot of you making pretty much that whilst holding down a full time job as well, that's great. When the pandemic's over I get to top up that income with some gigs in events as well.
Thanks to the internet there are many ways to earn now. Things my parents never had the chance to do.

How much am I making off eBay? A living. Middle-class level.
Do I still love what I do? Absolutely, but the worry is always within this job versus a typical "safe" 9-5 with a boss.
What do I sell? Anything that will not land me in prison.
