If you do not have a director resident in the UK, no bank will allow you an account unless you have six figures or thereabout for reserve. The transaction fees will take a huge toll on profits.
Of course, you could go for one of those EMIs, but they have their own headache as you may find out as your transactions grow.
eBay expects you to open/run your seller account from your resident country or your default domain extension. If you run an eBay account from a country you do not live in, you'd be asked to provide extensive proof that your business has a heavy footprint in that country.
It is possible, but it's quite a minefield and capital intensive. Probably only suited for sellers who are in it for the long haul selling legit items.
