Default Help on possible gift card scam!

Ok I'll start from the beginning. About a week ago I found a gift card at taco bell to target. When i checked the balance online i saw it still had a remaining sum of about $80. There isn't a target that's really that close to me, so i decided to sell it on eBay. When I did, a buyer bought it and paid quickly. When I came home tonight I noticed they also had no feedback and had sent me a message asking a ton of questions about the origin of the card and demands on how to send it. Being on eBay as long as I have (8+ years) i realized that was very abnormal. I decided to google gift card scam and came about more than a few stories of people getting scammed on eBay through gift cards, but they all seemed to be buyer related. I am wondering if anyone has any experience in this field and can walk me through avoiding chargebacked etc.

If you provide the card info to the buyer via email, be sure you mail the card with delivery confirmation too. That way, if they claim SNAD while the item is still in transit, you can possibly convince PP that the buyer is scamming based on the card having not yet arrived so how can SNAD be true?

If the buyer is genuine but a n00b, it would make sense that they are asking a lot of questions. Maybe they are being cautious about the first experience...

If that isn't sufficient info, send me a PM or post another message in this thread.

They could be useing this method to cash out paypal! They use a stelth Pp which they cant access the cash to so they simply buy your target gift card then u email them the code and they take it to target.com and buy $80 in target goods to eather resell or own use.

Its the same concept as money laundering

They already paid me and want me to physically send the card...I noticed they are bidding on tons of the same card just different values. Thought that was strange.

Mine only sold for $75 or so, so thats a little cheaper. Seems most he buys he gets a slight deal. Might be waiting to buy something big from the store and safe a little.
