Promoted Listings Gone Off A Cliff Since Neg Feedback?

So, promoted listings have made up a major part of my sales. A few days ago I received a negative feedback from a member. I've today in fact has the feedback removed.
Since that feedback sales have fallen off a cliff and not a single sale has been through promoted listings.

Is this a thing that eBay do or is this a massive coincidence? If it's actually something they do, will it likely go back to normal now feedback has been removed?

The account is in very good standing, all above standard, most criteria are top seller standard.

I've never noticed a drop-off in sales after a negative feedback, so most likely it's a coincidence.

My items aren't even showing at the top of pages at all, even on some items where I've set the % at 15%.

A negative feedback does impact search algo.

I don't know how much that particular listing impacted it, but it does.

Like amazon, if you get a few bad feedbacks, your listing is kinda toast.

feedback on ebay hasn't mattered in years IMO, I see people every day selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ with 90% ratings and they sell just fine. Sure it isn't helpful to have negatives, but it is what it is. Most buyers are idiots. The educated will steer away from people selling bad quality/counterfeit stuff and if you are a seller of that stuff, Do you want them buying from you anyway? Just causes more issues

Sales dip for a few days but slowly return to normal. Having the negative removed will definitely help.

I don't believe 1 negative feedback made that impact. If you can solve that and turn it into a positive one, sure it will help but I think it's more of a coincidence.
