MP - How long for EIN to show up in IRS database?

Remember hearing some rumblings around the forum that when you sign up for an EIN, it won't reflect on the the IRS backend instantly. Something like 6 weeks or so

It this correct? Does this mean that if I provide MP an EIN right after getting it, that it is likely to get rejected and my account more likely to get limited?

No I wouldn't worry about it because Ebay requires your SSN which they'll use first to verify the account. The EIN is just for Tax purposes.

This turned out not to be true. they check both the EIN and the SSN, and if the EIN isn't in the system, they'll restrict you. Not Mc011 or anything like that, just one of those "your payouts are being withheld til you can confirm etc" restrictions

And apparently it takes 2 weeks on the dot to show up in IRS database
