MP multiple account seller

So I’ve been using eBay for over 15 years I’ve seen a lot the biggest being the MP rollout. However over the past week I have been shocked to see a seller who honestly must have hundreds of accounts all which are showing as “Located in the UK and Germany” selling f**e designer brands. Now don’t get me wrong I am aware this goes on, and its none of my business but this seller has Chinese stock photos of brands for sale with Chinese writing in the description and these accounts have over 200+ feedback. The accounts all have negative feedback from people saying “item came directly from china avoid”. But what I’m most concerned about is 1: How does this seller have so many stealth accounts when MP has made it impossible to do that. 2: How are eBay allowing this person to sell obvious f**e sh*t.

I cant even search for designer brands at the moment because the whole site is just flooded with items from this seller. I would love to search for items and see what bargains I could find but now eBay basically just looks like ioffer! Genuinely search Gu**i belt and you will see the search results just flooded with this person. Very concerning!

Ebay's too busy suspending legit sellers atm. Gotta wonder what's going on, it's really head scratching. The eBay community thread and other sights have many posts of people asking wtf, I just opened an account and was instantly suspended. Curious to see what the next earnings report says about sales, new accounts, etc. They must be changing their business model.

This is very normal since the new 1099k laws. Follow the steps to reinstate your account.

Its crazy! I agree the new MP has been a huge blow to many sellers. But eBay has always been a site that you could search for a product and see 70% genuine 30% f**e. This seller with countless accounts is making it look like a chinese market place and eBay seem to be doing nothing or they simple cannot combat this. I guarantee if I even tried to sell f**es id get instantly banned!

I really hope eBay lock down on this seller somehow! But how he has so many accounts with feedback especially after MP is baffling to me?

You don't seem to understand the scale of operations in China. It isn't a single seller it's a collection of huge factories with tens of thousands of employees who are forced to create seller accounts as a condition of employment.

And even then I'm probably underestimating the true scale of the state approved push for global control.

Damn? I never even thought of that! I certainly wont be using eBay any time soon with it being in this state, hopefully i’ll come back in a few months and see some change. This hasn't been something that has been happening for a while id say it has been maybe the past week or so, and in the past 3 days it has been relentless with just chinese stock photos flooding the market. It will certainly put alot of new buyers off from using eBay thats for sure!

It's going to get worse and not better. It won't deter buyers - it's the same on Amazon so that's a pretty big chunk of retailing that's affected.

Yes theres Chinese holding companies that run multiple multiple seller accounts across multiple marketplaces. Imagine an office full of pcs and people. Saw a documentary on YouTube of a "legit" operation.

This has become impossible now with MP though all info has to be genuine. Had this been 3-4 years ago I woulnt have batted an eye lid but so many accounts selling foo foo just curious as to how theyre doing this. However the other replies make perfect sense when I think about it.

Damn! Ill be curious as to how eBay or Amazon will try and take care of this. I thought with MP they pretty much clamped down and wiped alot of sellers out but it seems like they have a bigger issue to deal with now!

They won't for two reason at the very least.

One, they're legitimate accounts. New sellers with well created accounts. Valid Payment Service Provider (bank). On the surface of it there's nothing to trigger them.

As well as shipping direct from the factory what is getting increasingly common is to use fulfilment centres based around the world. Any seller can use the stock there and as one seller goes down another steps in. Rinse and repeat a thousand times over. Buyers are, in the main, happy.

Two, they're in on it. How much revenue do you think ebay and Amazon generate from the Chinese operations? They're in no hurry to try and link accounts. They probably couldn't anyway, the Chinese know exactly what they're doing and they've got sources on the inside so are always ahead of the game.

What?

How is using someone else identity now impossible? I would say it is about the most popular way in the USA and UK with the new regulations. Pretty much impossible to use made up information.
