Strange sign in problem
I am using an old Sony Vaio laptop to connect to ebay.
This one works ok, but as it is old and small I bought a new Hewlette Packard.
There exist a third laptop belonging to my brother who is not in ebay, but all three are connected to the same rooter.
My new computer refuses to connect and so does my brother's.
The site asks for identification, we do the identification but then it does n't go in. Rather goes into an infinite loop identification-congratulations-identiification !
I tried chat but they can't give an answer.
First they asked me to logout for 48 hours in case it happened because I was trying to use two devices simultaneously. The 48 hours passed but no fix.
Their second suggestion was to ask from help from the uk site (co.uk) as the assistants there are apparently more competent. But the chat in the uk site asks for a uk phone number so if you are not in the uk you are not connected.
I sent an email also but no answer yet.
But there are more strange things.
I took the new laptop to a friend's house to try there, from a different internet connection. Nothing, the same.
Then I tried to log in from the friend's computer again unsuccesfully. The same behaviour (the endless loop).
Yet the old Sony Vaio always obliges and connects.
What is happening ?
Never had these problems before and also I think two machines at the same time is allowed really and you can declare them as "trusted machines".
I suspect the ebay system has taken some id from the Sony Vaio computer and if it does n't see that it does n't let you sign in.
If at least they allowed me to work from my new laptop and not allow the Vaio.
Does anybody know of any solution to this ?
