Anyone got any ideas for returns on stealth account
Hi everyone,
On one of my stealth accounts I’ve got a return for a pair of jeans. Customer has opened a return request through eBay.
Options I’ve got is to print label but my address is different another option was take a picture of Qr code I think and another option was provide tracking.
Problem is I can’t print these labels off as customer has the jeans.
How would the QR code work?
Anyone got any ideas?
Appreciate all your replies.

Will this be fine as my real address is suspended? I was thinking of doing the second option get Royal Mail to pick the item up from customer abc deliver it to me.

I dont think ebay bots will sweep the returns address. Obv if you want to remain 110% stealth you don't want to add it at all but as it stands I feel they are very lax with previously suspended users from years ago.
Best option is to have it collected from the buyers address ufcourse.

The QR code you just buy the postage with Royal Mail, send a picture of the QR code to your customer, he takes it to the post office on his phone and they scan the code, print and attach the label while he's there.

My account was suspended with managed payments not before managed payments any change to that address on any of my managed payments will kill my accounts.
I appreciate the replies and have a few ideas on how I can sort any potential returns in the future luckily my return rate is very low.

Gotcha, if you're freshly suspended when Adyen joined ebay (managed payments) then I think it's a definite no as you'll be on their list as well of suspended people. It's all calculated guesses none of us actually know.

Get PO BOX address and use this for returns i use the same PO BOX for several accounts with no issues.

If return rates are low and the item is no value might be worth just issuing a partial refund or taking a hit on the profits.
If items are high value, return rate is still low just arrange a courier to collect they usually bring their own label as well so it's a win/win don't even need to send a label the buyer

IF YOU SEND a different return address label thru Ebay messaging, how is Ebay going to know when to refund you ?
Ebay bot will compare your tracking result to your stealth return address instead of the one on your return label?

But how does Ebay bot know the jeans has been returned to the seller?
It goes by tracking number, and this tracking number used would not show it has been returned to his stealth return address?

If you feel your account is at risk bite the bullet and just refund the customer - cheaper than building a new account - then get a returns address in place

Exactly.
All depends on whether you're running a business or just a casual seller.

I agree with this. I was selling small items and I rarely get returns so it's easy to just let it go.
But if it's an expensive item... that's a while different story.
