| | | henryfalmore | 08-24-2023 09:14 PM | bad news buyer asked for refund Buyer asked for refund claiming item was defective. I'm positive the philips norelco worked and the charger works as well.
I even sent him the box it came in. (open box never used) he wanted a refund. I just granted it to him via ebay though I'm not refunding the shipping cost. also told him and ebay that he could keep the item.
I'm nervous what happens now? can he leave me a negative or neutral feedback?
will my refund come from the bank account on file or will they just take it from my sales the next time I sell something equaling $20 or more?
if so since he is a seller I promise I will purchase 3 things from him and leave him negative feedback from 3 different accounts. I'm super pissed and stressed about his lies and stupidity.
also added him to blocked buyer list
sorry for the negative post everyone. I'm so upset I could cry. |
| agent006140 | 08-24-2023 09:55 PM | Re: bad news buyer asked for refund did he open a case of item not as described?
if not and you refunded him the item but not shipping, that should be the end .
He could leave negative feedback.
do not threaten him,he could report to Ebay.
he could be telling the truth,it may work on your end ,but not for him |

Re: bad news buyer asked for refund C'mon lets have not tears over such a tiny amount of money.:good:
Returns are part of online trading, get used to it. Withholding the few bucks for postage will more likely infuriate folk more than simply accepting the return, so a neg/neutral has increased likelihood but I reckon as they're a seller too you'll get away with it. Lets not forget scammers very rarely buy cheap wares on their selling account and want the added hassle of returns, it could genuinely be faulty.
As for your threat to attack someone elses business just because you're unable to manage your own used tat online emporium and your fragile emotions then I think your a pathetic drip and should find some other way of making a living. Have a nice day! |

sorry for the negative post everyone. I'm so upset I could cry. | Welcome to retail.
More than likely a buyer just wanting something for free realizing how much it would cost to get said item back. Refund it and move on.
As for feedback, don't sweat it. It is just part of the game. It will not affect the true metrics you need to worry about like "items not resolved" when ebay dings your account for them stepping in.
The refund will be pulled from either the held payout or your pending balance. If you do not have a balance it will be pulled from either your card on file or if that doesn't work customer service can pull it from your bank. |
Re: bad news buyer asked for refund Sadly, this happens henryfalmore - just move on to other more positive sales |

| henryfalmore | 08-27-2023 08:29 PM | Re: bad news buyer asked for refund well, buyer left me negative feedback. I have reported buyer and then I submitted a feedback revision request. maybe ebay will remove the negative. now I need to get like 4 positives or so to get my feedback from 96.3% to 100% |

Here's the maths...
Say your current feedback is 27 positive, you get a neg. You go from 100% to 96.3%.
You get 4 more positives, you have 31 positives and 1 negative, that's 96.8% positive.
If you get 100 positives it will climb to 99.2%.
Assuming you're not going to do a quick-fire thousand sales then you're stuck with it, ebay will not remove it. |

The buyer now has faulty goods and is out of pocket. Why on earth would ebay want to help this seller???
The feedback will stay. |

Thats not a flat out policy for all returns. | buyer can leave negative feedback if he has a bad experience, has nothing to do whether he gets a full refund or get a refund plus keep the item/
Some sellers will bribe the buyer with $$ so he would not leave negative feedback |

Some sellers will bribe the buyer with $$ so he would not leave negative feedback | That is correct, it is all about the buyer experience and if they have bought a product, wanted to return it and given a refund without return, they are entitled to give feedback relating to this experience, positive or negative.
The only time negative or neutral feedback can be removed, is if the buyer cancels the sale after an auction or where immediate payment is not required, as they have not paid or received the order and can not comment on the buyer experience if the seller allows the cancellation of the sale. | | All times are GMT -5.
