Default NARU'd Ebay accounts become ACTIVE after 1 year.

So you spend a long time nurturing your ebay account and you get an impressive amount of feedback.

You pay your fees on time and are well behaved.

BUT!!! your ebay account is suspended for one of the many violations.

In my case it was repeated breaches of VERO. Account suspended so I thought nothing more about it.

However 1 Year later I get this email message:

MC042 NOTICE: eBay Registration Reinstatement - w******
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Dear W****** (w**********@gmail.com),

Thank you for sending us the information we requested.

We're pleased to let you know that your account has been reinstated following your suspension. You are now free to use your account to buy and sell on eBay.

Thank you for complying with our rules for reinstatement. We hope your future experiences on eBay are pleasant and successful.

Regards,

eBay Trust & Safety

H1121

----------------------------------------------------------------------
PLEASE NOTE THAT I SENT NO INFORMATION TO THEM. THE ACCOUNT IS STEALTH. THIS WAS THE CASE IN 3 OTHER OF MY EBAY ACCOUNTS. THEY AUTOMATICALLY RE-INSTATED ME AFTER 12 MONTHS. THE ACCOUNTS HAD 1000+ FEEDBACK EACH SO WERE READY TO GO AGAIN.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They then sent this.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,

Thanks for getting in touch once again about the suspension of your
account 'w*******'.

I'm pleased to let you know that your request for reinstatement has been
approved. We'll send you an email shortly to confirm your reinstatement.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

All I did was send a "tongue in cheek" email which read:

"I am really sorry for getting suspended on ebay. I wont do it again. I have learned my lesson. Please reinstate my ebay account. I wont do it again."

Thanks

------------------------------------------------------------------------

When they reinstated my account I could not believe it. I got 3 X stealth account reinstated by sending them an email.

I DID NOT SENT ANY DOCUMENTATION!

My advise is keep the details for old ebay accounts, they may be easy to reactivate after 1 year!

Yep, it's a small gift from ebay. Out of the blue accounts get reinstated with little effort.
BUT, some do not last longer than a year. ebay finds a generic reason & takes them back again. Make the most of the gift

Part of the mouse & cat game. As you said, it is a good practice to retain all the info.

Yes, I dont know how difficult Vero is in the US but in the UK it has really become restricted. If you try to be clever too many times and get around it, you will always get caught out.

Im not much bothered, the receovered accounts were a "bonus" anyway

maybe nice to keep as a slow account, but it seems obvious that doing same stuff you got NARU for is not going to go down well - but as you say who cares, plenty of others.........I got one back of my old original accounts in real details, havent logged in, I see it as contagious, like a link of some sort is waiting to fly out when my guard is down ..

Do you know the funny thing. When I used to get NARU'd i used to feel a sense of shock and dissapointment.

Now when I get NARU'd i get a kind of mild euphoric elation and smile.

As there are nice crisp fresh new ebay accounts to pick up from where the other left off.

I think its nice to feel like that.
