I wonder if this is causing the issue as it's the only thing I've changed this year (Last year I would list with 0 and be patient)
So buying penny feedback items for feedback is something that has for a very long time gotten accounts flagged

RE the reactivation email ebay sends out. This has happened for years. Now more so than before but can just contact ebay answer a few questions then relist an item right away when reinstated. Some will still go down later but a lot will also stay active

I know but I never expected it for just two items. Panic and stress over it turns out it was the two penny items causing the reactivation and suspensions. Tests on an account created at the same time have passed, 3 listings up including one relist. Not one of the accounts that bought the sim cards lasted this long.

Yes I answered the questions each time and always got the accounts back but every single account was suspended within 1 hour regardless of the next listed item. My theory is that the new listing suspension flag isn't necessarily placed straight away after purchasing. I think I was able to list 1 auction each time before the flag was placed to be triggered. But it was always waiting to be triggered on the next new listing.

I've given my complete method out for creating accounts too now, hopefully it will be useful for someone.

Yep the penny listings is seen as feedback manipulation

Doesn't cause an instant limation but does flag the account for suspension later

Does anyone know after how many sales it is safe to buy penny auctions without placing a risk flag on the account?
I've done it without problems for a while but never tested how many sales it takes / account creation days before it won't cause issues.

There will be a set amount for an account created with the same / similar low risk method as it's all algorithm based. I found the timescale of buying penny items before selling made no difference to the perceived risk so the early variables are limited.

Obviously none of us will know a definitive number but I'm sure user experience here will have some ideas.

Maybe try to build up some buying feedback before you start selling, remember old stealth rules and looking like 'average' joe. When you first used Ebay i'm pretty sure you didn't sell something first

That's not to say that you can't list without the feedback, but it helps
Just to clarify, the buying feedback is more of to use the account as the average joe, correct? Not that the buying feedback itself helps in selling accounts?

certainly feels like that - looks like someone is happening on eb to buy few things ...then realizes that he/she can sell stuff too

I log into them on the "ebay" PC after using other laptops to create them with new HWID's. Something tells me it's about the creation process putting a risk flag on the account
---------
It could be 'your Ebay PC"

so from your experience creating accounts on a fresh PC would significantly reduced the possibility of getting reactive message?

THere is no definitive answer to that. All I can say is what works for a period of a week, month, year will not work when eBay decides.

Take an example of what I am experiencing currently.

Newly created accounts turned into sellers same day are getting reactivates as of right now. A month ago, I didn't have that issue.

Now, my accounts that I created 4 months ago where I just let sit are not getting hit with reactivate. Where a month ago, they would instantly get suspended, reactivate or a stupid identity request. This is no matter how I turned them into a seller: ie, building history or logging in and creating a seller account.

Only advice I can give you is to create as many buyer accounts as you can for the back burner. That way, if newly created accounts aren't working, then you can dig into your back burner accounts and start testing from there.

With all that being said. All what I used to turn those accounts into sellers were all down on a mobile device, not desktop.

Various IPs strictly through mobile sims and numbers coming from an online verification source.

Interesting to note about the use of mobile device - I guess I'm more old school but I prefer desktops and laptops for account create...bigger screen and keyboard hah

Don't know what the hell it is but all of sudden those aged accounts I can't get to stick now. No change to what I am doing.

Literally giving this company till the start of the year. If nothing changes, I am out.

Can't be dealing with this shiit anymore.

The most likely thing is that the problem is in the use of the IP addresses you use or the telephone numbers used.

I've never made accounts on a mobile, sounds tedious.

I'm trying an experiment on the first account I reactivated successfully, I bought two items yesterday and watched some items. Just watched a few more. Now it's past midnight in the UK I'm going to try and list something innocuous and see if the watching and purchasing yesterday stops the predictable suspension within an hour.
What type of items do you buy as a buyer before making the account a seller? Digital items?

I don't recommend anything digital... buy a tangible item if you must
