Usually you would use "affect" as it is the more common usage. You "affect" something by exerting some influence over it.
But technically, you could "effect" a policy change. the difference being that when you "effect" the change, you are the single driving force behind it. As opposed to "affecting" some change, where your influence is milder but still measurable
Usually the difference in usage is more obvious, eg affect is the verb, effect is the noun, so this was actually a pretty cool use case | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to kirkland For This Useful Post: | | |

Whenever someone sees a price increase,he will scream Price Gourging, inflation, typo ,greed.
But when your employer gives you a raise,do you cry Inflation and decline the raise?
Who do you think is going to pick up 'that inflationary raise you just received'?

Silver has proven to be a pretty good store of value but lets be realistic.. manufacturing is never coming back to the US. We don't have the slave labor force that other countries have.

It seldom happen until recently when all the talk about silver shortage, industrial and commercial use of silver push silver to $78 .troy ounce, but falls back to what $58 and now it is $64,still pretty good price!
Back in old days, due to lack of modern mining technique, silver is worth more, people will show you a silver coin and said THIS IS SILVER !
Now we just yawn when someone said that.
To make things worse, there are plenty of silver ware ready to be scrapped-silver candles, dishes, plates, jewelry, bars ,coins, and the refiners do not want them .

Gold is recognised as a store of value in most cultures for thousands of years,in Kuwait they have vending machines selling gold,in HK jewelry store, they display real time value of gold, and the gold statues you bought from them, you can sell them back and they will pay you for whatever it is worth that day.
If you want to sell your gold,do not sell on Ebay, you will only get the scrap value and you will have to pay Ebay FVF,cc fee, shipping and insurance and end up with a INAD DISPUTE !

We're multiple years into this "drastic trade war" and nothing's really changed. There's nothing that can be produced profitably in the Unites States except for military equipment.. and even that's only profitable because it's subsidized by taxpayers and for all the wrong reasons
