Default Cancelling a completed auction...How?

Rather basic question but I recently sold something on EB for someone else and after the buyer came to pick up there necessary paperwork was not available. Both buyer and seller agreed to void the transaction which is cool with me, vs, getting into a big urinating contest.
It seems that I have seen before there is a way to mutually agree to cancel the transaction. How does that happen? The buyer contacted me to do it. If it was me I wouldn't do anything, but I think he wants to be sure he is released or he will leave neg FB.

I did a basic search here and didn't find anything and I looked around EB and you all know how ez it is to get an answer there. Can anyone help out?

Go to Ebay help and type in "Mutual agreement" or " withdrawl feedback". You should see the links come up

It's one of the options that comes up, when you file a "non-paying buyer" dispute.

This is a situation where I listed an item for someone else and when the buyer came to pick up there was a problem where both sides were to blame and agree mutually to cancel the deal. That is why I wanted to know how to do it without filing a non-paying bidder dispute.

Thanks for the information
