this has been the case for awhile now. sellers arent allowed to list certain VERO items anymore, BUT, all you have to do is message them and they will make a "special undercover" listing for you with a different item and price, but they will sell you the vero item you normally order to stay under the radar.

For example, you usually order a certain Flat Iron that dhgate no longer allows sellers to list. you message your supplier and tell them you are ready to order more. The seller will make a "special" listing for lets say...a hair brush and tell you this your item and change the price. you and your seller both know what it is but its not obvious to dhgate.

It's hard for anyone that just starting out and hasnt established relatonships with sellers. all my suppliers know me and my usual orders so its pretty smooth.

I do it all the time!

So far so good with my new supplier.I placed my order 2 days ago and just got my DHL tracking numbers today.Plus my order was $350.00 cheaper than my original supplier.I told the supplier my concerns with customs and if they could work around customs like my old supplier. They wrote me back and said don't worry about customs. If my order gets seized they will resend it at there cost.

Man, things have gone to complete **** over there I bet. So many DVD listings have disappeared out of thin air.

What I don't get is if one factory was raided or the whole lot? I don't understand how factories work in China, but I'm assuming they all can't have been raided unless there is only a few factories making these DVDs. What puzzles me is there were SO many DVD sellers on DHGate and they seem to all have disappeared.

Were they all getting there DVDs straight from this one mega factory that got raided? Or do all of them have their separate small factories and EVERYONE got raided?

Weird, I hope things go back to normal soon. I wish I had boarded this train years ago...

There are usually a lot of same product factories within close proximity to each other in China. It's easy to raid a bunch of them, it's just a case of walking down the street.

Unhappy

I'm new to selling on ebay (besides my college textbooks, etc) and I've been selling these DVD box sets from alibaba express to a bunch of people for the past week. Is this a terrible idea? What could potentially happen? Most people won't realize they're copies, right? They look convincing in the photos... but now I'm worried about getting negative feedback or having to refund a ****load of people.

I'd love to hear your comments about this. What us likely to happen? No one has received their DVDs yet because I just sold them in the last few days...

In my experience selling DVD's in the past, people notice if they are ⊗⊗⊗⊗, unless they are really good ⊗⊗⊗⊗!

I wouldn't risk it in today's climate. Having a working eBay account is more valuable than ever.

I guess it was stupid of me to use my 100% feedback main account to sell DVDs (I only have one account, actually...) The thing is, I didn't even know they were ⊗⊗⊗⊗ when I started selling them. I sold 11 DVD boxsets in 3-4 days which isn't that many, right? So you think most of these people will realize they're copies? Should I cancel as many as I can, because about half haven't shipped from the dropshipper yet so I could probably get my money back and refund people...
