It depends on the indexing of the eBay search engine. They get a few hundred or thousand listings per minute, they can't index them all right away.

Dont be too paranoid Kev, some listings dont appear for hours.. just let them run the course, dont go attracting attention and questioning Ebay..

It takes anywhere from 1 second to 24 hours for me. Lately they're popping up quite fast, but I just had one yesterday that took 14 hours.

Reason why your listing do not appear with in like 5-7 hours after you list is because ebay has there nerdy workers reviewing the listings. How it works is if you sell something that could be a knock off or something high risk they wont let it list till they inspect the listing. And how do i know this? 2 reasons

1. is i listed 10 items on ebay all dvds the listing never showed up and before they every do i was banned for abuseing ebay or some crap like that.

2. List something that is'nt a high risk item and it lists instantly.

And if u want to view the listing even if u can search them do a advance search then items by seller then click the Text Formatt Only buttion and vola theres your listings

Exactly. non-vero or banned item description get reviewed on new accounts or no feedback. That is why you should put up a common everyday item, then 8 hours later revise it to what you want to sell. You should avoid using the same wording in your title description if you already have been banned. And use similar title description as powerseller selling the same thing, while still getting you point across. You can usually last a month or so, before power seller or vero rats you out.

I don't think it has anything to do with VERO or banned items. My sister in-law's old vase took almost 24 hours to show up, and it wasn't even in the Antiques category.

No that is how you get the abusing Ebay message, then you come back here and wonder why you were suspended

even in the ebay rules it says something about listing takeing up to 8 hours to show up and it says some items need futher verfaction which means ebay has to inspect them.

And i remeber about 1-2 years ago i could list anything i wanted and it never had a 8 hour delay i would list 100 items at one time all of them showed up after listing.

Right now i can list 10 items on ebay and 8 will show up instaly other 2 will be under review for 8 hours then show up

I noticed, at least in my case, that after EXACTLY 30-days the waiting time of a few hours had virtually disappeared.

I noticed that also, after 30 days and a few feedback, seems like they don't look at your listings as hard. That is why open a new selling account I buy a few $1 or $2 dollars legit items and let it sit for 30 days before listing.

From my experience the only reason why your listings don't show up for hours is because you're being "watched," dum, dumm, dummm!

Yeah and in my case, I didn't even have 5 feedback yet. Seems 30 days is the magic number more than anything else.

I found that the view listings by seller will take 8 hours when the account doesn't have enough feedback, but it sometimes shows up in search for buyers earlier, like in one hour.

Yes, it is definitely a feedback and length of time ssue, I can remember as a PS , listing items, minutes later-they were there--those days are gone...

Okay WTF? I just listed an item on a zero-feedback account and it showed up on search within 5 minutes of submitting the listing!! And this is the same type of stuff I've been selling all along. The only difference with this one is I've waited a few days (nowhere NEAR 30) to list my first item, rather than selling on the day I open my eBay account.
