Default Question about 30 day sell limit.

Searched high and low for this question but couldn't find it. I'm sure it's been answered though but I'd rather not wade through 100 pages to find it.

I finally got hit with this 30 day selling limit for a particular item. It says something along the lines of "you have reached your selling limit for this item, you'll be able to list the item again in 30 days".

They are CDs basically, with a code, so when you type in the barcode number eBay automatically finds the number and the specific item so you can put it into a category easier. That being said I would rather not wait 30 days to list again. It's troublesome as it is waiting 21 days for my payments to clear and now I have to wait another 30 days to list more items? That's almost 2 months wait, which is quite ridiculous...

Is it possible I could skip the barcode step and just pick my own categories or list in a different category and switch up my title a bit and list this item before the 30 days is up?

What are the consequences if I just did it?

The payment hold, and selling limit are not compounded. They are served at the same time....

Your best bet is to sell on multiple accounts. If you reach your limit on one, multiply the limits

Just curious: roughly what is the volume of unit sales for the 30 deay period that you hit before you got limited?

Wow this seems like so long ago and it was only 3 months. If I remember correctly I sold no more than 6 of these CD sets when I got hit with the limit. It was an easy fix though. At the time I had two eBay accounts attached to the same Paypal. Only one of the accounts got the limit so I simply listed on the other account using a different picture description etc.

I have just been hit with this on a year old account which ebay automatically upgraded to business account, with powerseller status. Well my paypal account got limited on this ebay account but today after 2 weeks wait from when I emailed all the info they wanted I called them and they were quite good about it and said she would pass it throught to a dept for review 10 mins later got email account restored very suprised as i was selling vero.
Anyhow I tried to relist the inventory I was selling before my PP was limited and now get this 30 day wait. Is this 30 days from today when I tried to list or the last time I listed this item?
I did sell 94 units in 2 weeks, So maybe too much too soon :-(

its usually on the 31st day you can list it, its supposed to be a rolling 30 day limit

however, I am pretty sure ebay can adjust the # you can sell, so lets say you had a limit of 50 sales of the item for 30 days they could adjust it down to even 1, so in that case you would have to wait a full 30 days before listing that particular item
