Default Changing payment methods

Hello, I have an ebay account that I have been selling with since 1998, and my paypal account linked to this ebay account was just permanently limited. I no longer want to use paypal at all. Is it a advisable to continue to use this ebay account? If so, I would like to add cartmanager with the ability to accept google checkout, and credit cards through a merchant account. Should I go ahead and sign up with cartmanager, and try and see if ebay will allow me to list with a merchant account? If they refuse, then what? I know pre 11/07 accounts should work, but I don't know if my ebay account "was properly set up". Hopefully someone here can help! I really need to start selling on ebay again soon.

Yes, I even have an active listing, even though I have no way to accept payment.

I have over $700 in unpaid fees so far this month, so maybe I should just stiff them with the bill. But really I just want to start selling again. Maybe I should just try to list with merchant accounts as the only accepted type of payment, but if they require proof of a merchant account with lots of recent activity, I would not be able to provide that. As I understand it, if I can't supply that information right away, I may not be able to ever get merchant accounts accepted for this account.

I would use Paymate myself. They are easy to get along with and the fees are the same as Paypal.

Paymate is limited to $10000/mo, or you have to have multiple accounts if you need a higher limit. Also, they don't process payments for 3 days, and I couldn't wait 3 days to ship to my customers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think most merchant accounts and google checkout could process payments immediately. I have not used either one but I hope that's the case. Also, I assume I would have access to my money immediately with the right merhant account.

Why would ebay limit me? I am not behind on my account. Those are selling fees from only the last month.

How do I know if my pre 11/07 account "was created properly"? Does anyone know what that means?
