Hmm My problem with Amazon is waiting on a sale. With eBay you know what you can expect to sell. You see how many people have viewed your listing, you get questions, you can allow people to make you a offer... All these things help you determine how hot your item is, what kind of prices the buyers are looking for, and how many you can sell a day. For the life of me I can't understand why anyone would buy a item priced on Amazon at $200 when the very first link you see comes from a seller who has the same item priced at $150. What are buyers looking for when they choose a seller?
With eBay you can outsell a cheaper seller with ease if your word your auction correctly, and make it look more professional. That way, even if you don't have best supplier you can out do your competition by offering faster/free shipping, or a bonus gift. With Amazon it seems the lowest price wins. I don't think the buyer cares too much about the sellers history. Even if they did, unlike eBay, you can't even see what items the seller got positives for. The seller could have been listing golf balls before they posted that iPad lol... I gotta wonder though. Why wont Amazon create a auction site? That and the original Amazon together would put ebay under the devil!
