Default Making some ebay accounts on same names

My question to you great ppl of this forum is a simple one .

Can i make multiple ebay accounts with the same exact information , name, address , phone number etc. all attached to the same paypal account.

Is this legal in terms of ebay rules, i do understand that if one goes down they all will.

i have purchased the book. I dont want to sound arguementive but what i am trying to do is save on the paypal accounts as there are only a few w/ SS numbers available for. so i want to make as many ebay accounts as i can and link to 1 paypal. so like i want to have about 5 ebay accounts all paying into 1 paypal. I am not selling any VERO but the things i am selling do get alot of competitors flagging them so that is why i am trying to spread out my sales. any insight on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

If even one of your eBay accounts get suspended, all of the remaining accounts will be linked and suspended because they are all linked to the same PayPal. So, it's not a good idea.

i know i understand that. But under ebay policy can one person have multiple accounts. i have heard something like this before but just want confirmation on whether legally (ebay law*) it can be done or not.

Yes you can.
A seller a eBay can have as many accounts as they want to.
As long as you are 100% aware that if 1 account goes down they ALL go down.

I do it all the time.
If one of my accounts gets a VERO warning I just let it sit.
I use another account that is built with the same information.
This way I am getting to use the same paypal account.
I know they are linked, eBay knows, Paypal knows. We all know.
On some of my accounts I have 3+ sub accounts.
You can do the math...
Right now I have 10+ valid and working Paypal accounts.
Each PP account has 1-3 eBay accounts running under each one.
I have been doing this for a few months now.

Just remember the following information
If 1 goes down ALL the linked accounts goes down.
If your accounts get cross linked (from 1 set to another set) you could lose a LOT of accounts in the same day.

I really can't understand why you would want to do something like this, but...

It's probably best to go to the source for this.
Google searches:
site:ebay.com how many ebay accounts can i have

The reason I do it is so that account A can cool off (VERO ALERT).
Then I can use account A1 to continue to sell and use the same PP account.
By the time account A1 gets hot I then swap back to account A.

Yeah, I didn't take into account VERO issues.
Thanks for the explanation, HWGA.

Default i was wondering the same actually...

I like to sell vero but have decided to get multiple accounts and sell one a month or every 2 weeks on each and sell other low priced junk all amongst it,

I wasnt sure though if e-bay allowed you to do this, i mean get a warning and then go on to another account and sell same thing, when they KNOW you are same seller.

but if it is the case it saves me the hassle, of trying to find phone numbers (difficult in UK) and verify paypal on each e-bay account. I know they all go down if one does but dont care as I would have others with different details!

Can I have a defnitive on this.

one of my pp acount has 4 ebay accounts linked to it selling the same items. running over 1 year now. I prefer to spread my selling and not become a hot seller in that category. I think when things go wrong, hot sellers die first.

Just be ready for the day that 1 of those 4 accounts gets NARUed.
The other 3 will go down soon after that so be ready.....

Hi Sho, Your idea will work fine, but we had a problem with using our jointly owned credit card on two accounts (one ebay account was in his name, and one was in my name, which may be the reason for the problem).

If I have a PP account in the name "John Doe" I then make 2 or more eBay accounts in the same "John Doe" name and address information.
The eBay accounts match name for name & address for address.
I even use the same exact credit card on the eBay accounts for registration & fee payments.
I know they are linked together, that is the point.
I sell for a while on account 1A.
I eventually get the lovely VERO Alerts.
Then pop to account 1B.
By the time I get the VERO alerts on 1B usually the 60-90 day window from account 1A has passed.
I then pop back to account 1A.

You have to remember that I am running 8-10 Paypal accounts at once.
This means I can bounce between MANY accounts.

I had 1 eBay account go NARU due to VERO about 2 weeks ago.
I am still selling on the linked account just fine.
But I am waiting for the email. I am sure it will come in time.....

The reason why I am shying away from Paypal is because of all of the talk about SS#'s. Someone said that eventually every account will be prompted for a SS#. And that they will link you via SS#. How do you keep 8-10 accounts running if they ask for SS#? Haven't they asked you for your SS# yet on more than one of the accounts? If not, when they do what are you going to do? Do you just say bye bye to that account when they ask for SS# and whip out a reserve? Or do you have a couple of assumed SS#'s(wouldn't that be nice).
Thanks for the info.

90 to be safe is it? 91 days and you can take another alert? Are there any definite stats on this?

Yes you'll get that email but for me it took 9 months so you might get a lot of breathing time

Default and on the 91st day he created ebay...

I was wondering that too, I am clear on HWGAs system but he has more vero products than me at the moment. can you list exact same thing as takedown on 91st day, or can you not do that but it could be something else but in that catagory of veros eg bags but not same brand. I only list about 2 brands of vero at the moment, I could change that, but I have alot of old stock to get rid of from when I was suspended, and slow and cool just aint shifting it quickly enough, so im making loads of accounts, but I want to list just these 2 items on all of them in amongst my other low priced stuff. I want to make sure I dont mess up and ebay see that Im playing them and didnt listen to their warning, or is record wiped at 90 day mark, and is this definitive. UK vero meisters??

There is never any thing definite when eBay is involved.

EBAY will probably shut you down even faster, thinking that you are trying to pull something.
I totally agree with you about the items.
But is you have 100 different items with a quantity of 50 each then you are listing 100 different things 50 times each.
You do this on 10 different accounts and rotate the items and you are a LOT safer.

What HWGA mentions may be a slight benefit he has experienced, but hardly seems worth the effort. If you are going to spend the time and money (a gift card for each EBAY account) to create multiple accounts, why not make sure they are NOT linked.
As for the double accounts....
1 Paypal = 1 Bank account & 1 credit card.
2 eBay accounts = 1 credit card
You already know the accounts are linked going in.
You use the same credit card for each account.
When you do it right and let 1 account sleep while you run the other one the total time that a set of linked accounts would last is extended.
It also saves you the additional bank account.
You get a little more bang for your buck.
If 1 account in the set is doing really well I will leave its mate alone, so I do not add risk to the good account.
From a VERO point of view this works for me.

What I don't understand about this method is that if accounts 1A and 1B are linked, as you say they are, how can you just move your VeRO sales from one to the other? Don't the strikes count against the person behind all the accounts linked to him? If you get hit on 1B while your 1A strike is still fresh, won't all the linked accts. go down?

I ask because when I had a listing pulled for VeRO, my search placement suddenly went from near the top to the bottom on all of my selling accounts. So obviously eBay was penalizing the person, not just the individual account.

This is my first post and I'm actually not suspended. I was suspended about a year ago for VeRO, but only on one acct. I was able to sell on others, but didn't dare sell VeRO on them. Right now I do have one VeRO strike against one account and I'd like to not have to use the methods described in the Stealth Book.
