Selling items worth more than $250

I just sold my first item that went past the $250 mark... I am going to ship it via UPS... From what I have picked up around this site, and from what I have read on eBay, I should put Signature Confirmation on this package... Is regular SC okay, or should I pay for the "Adult SC"? Also, will UPS let the seller know that a signature is required (I print labels through PP), or do I need to tell them? Also, what if no one is home when UPS stops by their house?

Make sure that you ask UPS to NOT leave the package and that signature is required by the person whom you address the package to.

SC avoids UPS just leaving the package as regular delivery so you are fine.

If there is an option for DIRECT signature confirmation use that, otherwise use Adult. UPS is known for NOT leaving packages with or without SC on it.

Yes, UPS is brutal for leaving packages without signature. If no duty fees are due they just toss it. Lots.

Now fortunately most of the time it goes unnoticed because buyer is not a creep. But be careful with big ticket items for sure
