vero removed items and paypal
Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum but I have been observing for about a week now since my items were removed by ebay for trademark violation.
I had been selling on a linked ebay and paypal account for almost two months and was approaching 15,000 in gross sales. These accounts have been active since 2001 and include all my real information. I'm currently not suspended by eBay or Paypal but I have about 18 open disputes. I'm wondering if these accounts are going to be salvageable or not. So far all I have is a policy violation on eBay and am currently sitting at around -$80 in my PayPal account and all my eBay fees are paid. I have instructed my bank to decline any withdrawl attempts from PayPal because I wasn't sure how widespread these disputes were going to be. I believe about 160 customers were contacted and I was estimating the potential chargeback damage to be several thousand that's why I blocked Paypal from accessing my accounts originally.
I had about 3000 in PayPal when it started, about 1200 is held for the disputes, I paid my eBay balance of around $500 and spent $1300 or so on purchases (they wouldn't let me withdraw it obviously, I tried...) while the disputes were coming in against me.
Since my disputes were not as widespread as I had originally thought they would be I'm wondering if I should bother trying to stay on good terms with Paypal or not and resolving my negative balance issue with them.
I received 14 disputes within 12 hours of the violation and over the past week only 8 cases were opened and 4 people have since closed the cases after I contacted them so I'm pretty sure the worst is behind me and all but $80 is already held by PayPal to cover the refunds.
So, in short, I'm looking for information on how PayPal will potentially treat me in the future if they don't suspend me over this or if they will most likely suspend me anyway regardless of what I do now..
regards
mike
