Default Need some help regarding a Shipment sent to Canada

Hi,

I send a parcel to Canada and it was held by customs. Buyer never asked me about the package not delivered and he also have not got any intimation from Customs (as he is claiming). Now he said that he dont want item I sent to him and he have already bought another one locally.

Now he want me to cancel the transaction. And told me that he will send the item back. I asked him to refuse the delivery and then I will refund him.

He said he's fine with it.

I want to know, if he refuse to take the delivery, will Canada Post return the item? Or what they will do for packages refused?

Packages refused will go back to the original sender, as long as it has not been seized by Customs. Problem is, if you are shipping from India, the return to you will be a long slow one by boat most probably.

If it is seized by Customs, you are not going to get it back though.
Either Customs will tell the buyer to do something & if there is no answer, then Customs will destroy the goods.

WTFudge are you sending?

Taiwan gave you troubles, now Canada. I'd think again about exporting.

Use a drop ship company if you are making enough money off the product. It gets there quicker and costs less because it is shipped WITHIN country. No customs, etc...think about these things!

Ahem.. !! Can you tell something about these Drop Ship Companies? The goods I sell are manufactured here locally, so how would Drop Shipping benefit me?

You hire some small company/individual to receive all your items in a different country and you "employ" him to ship for you. So if you have a lot of customers in North American and you have the money pipeline, it's a good deal to ship bulk items and have the person ship out from within North America.

If you're interested, you can PM - I have an individual who is looking for this kind of work ha.

Yeah, you can use a company or a local person. Shipping seperate is worse than bulk.
