Default Indefinite Suspenion with No Option For Reinstatement...

Hello. I am a new member to this forum. I have been reading a lot of the posts over the past few weeks.

After 7 years on Ebay, 2640 feedback (99.8% positive) I was handed an indefinite suspension with no option for reinstatement...
In the email they sent to me, they claim that I am a "security threat"
They also suspended my wife, 2 of my friends, and my boss!!

I can't believe that this is happening right now. I am losing money as I speak.

Has anyone ever had their account reinstated after an "indefinite suspension"?

I really want to get back on eBay, but I don't really want to do anything illegal that might get me in even more hot water.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the accounts are gone for good. Time to read up on these forums and go stealth.

With a link history like that, you are done for without question. stealth guide is your next step.

Yeah, I kinda figured that.
I thought I was safe on eBay because of my feedback and power seller status, but man was I wrong...

The nice thing about stealth is that you CAN fool eBay AND stay legal at the same time.

No need to break any laws.

But you should also try to figure out WHY eBay flagged you as a security threat and then see if you can find a way to fix it. Not on the old account... But if you do the same thing on the NEW account, you will most likely lose that one as well.

I purchased some sports cards from another seller on eBay, then tried to resell them on ebay. Some of them were reprinted cards, which I listed as reprints when I went to sell them. Ebay said that it was a trademark violation, but that was not the reason for the actual suspension. I was considered a "security threat" because of all of the different accounts that had been logged onto from the same household.

Have any of you set up stealth accounts? Is it difficult to do?

setting up multiple accounts is easy to do. just open seperate windows user and only use that specific use for that one ebay account. there is a lot more to it but i think you shold buy the Stealth Book to get more info. i would be typing for a long time if i went on with everything else you need.

I'm gonna buy the book either tonight or tomorrow.

I was just concerned about the process of setting up a stealth account being too difficult. I am by no means a computer expert.

I thought about purchasing one of those pre-made accounts, but I have read a lot of negative things about them.

I have to figure something out. If I don't start making some extra money again soon I'll be out on the streets...

A lot of people on this forum have set up and operated stealth accounts.

What do you mean by "Reprinted"? PM if you do not wish to post.

well baseball card companies have reprints that are inserts in packs of cards. like they make a newer version of a nolan ryan rookie card and give it a serial number like #/1000 and call it a reprint rookie card.

thats what he means by reprint. i dont think he is talking about an actual ⊗⊗⊗⊗ reprint which you most certainly cannt sell on ebay.

No, I screwed up and listed a Michael Jordan rookie card that had not been "professionally graded". I misunderstood eBay's rules. I thought that the card could be listed on their site as long as it was listed as a "reprint".

I understand that I broke their rules, I am not arguing that. The part that was irritating was the fact that I had originally purchased the card from another seller on eBay.

If they would have issued me something along the lines of a 30 day suspension, I feel that would have been a bit more rational on their part. I just don't feel that an "indefinite suspension" was really called for...

So, my next step is to purchase the eBay Stealth Book and keep my fingers crossed that it will work for me.

Over the past 2 weeks I have tried listing items on Bonanza.com, Ebid.net, Ioffer.com, and I have not sold a single thing. I really need to get back on eBay, at least now I am aware of one item that absolutely cannot be sold on there in order to keep a new account up and running...

I just purchased the book.
I will post a review once I get done reading it.
Like I said before, I am not a computer expert, so if this book can help me get back on eBay then it can help anyone.

There is no real "if" about the guide - it has helped many many users - it's nice and simple and shows the way to avoid having linked accounts.

Being suspended indefinitely sucks but many of us have moved onwards and upwards.

if you bought that card ungraded form a user on ebay then odds are it is a ⊗⊗⊗⊗. it isnt hard to ⊗⊗⊗⊗ that card. its been done very well and 1000's of times

Yeah, I realize that. If you look on eBay, there are people selling them left and right. I thought it was okay as long as it was list as a reprint, obviously I was wrong.

I purchased the Stealth Book yesterday and have read about 1/3 of it so far, a lot of interesting information. I want to read it through and take some time to digest it all before I jump right into opening a stealth account.

I have read a lot of posts from people who tell stories about opening a new account, only to have it get suspended 2-3 months down the road.

Have any of you ever purchased one of those "pre made" accounts? I am kinda curious how well those work.

ya i have bought the premaid accounts a couple times. that was until i fugured out how to do it myself. i have actualloy never purchased the Stealth Book. i just understand what needs to get done. i have read tons of posts on here and talked to a lot of people in the PM box about stuff and the account holders that sold me accounts told me some things. it just all made perfect sense and i think its all super easy to understand. i have learned from my mistakes over the past few months of trial and error but if you get kicked off after a few months it is usually something that triggered ebay to bother you. if you go slow like the book says you will be fine. if you can go slow you will be in shambles all over again.

if you want to list more then make more accounts just learn how to use them all at once. the guide will be able to tell you that.

Thanks stevesokol21!
That information is more than helpful.

I would really like to ask you a few questions if that would be okay with you.
There are a few things that I am having trouble understanding. Would it be okay if I were to PM you and maybe you could give me a little bit of direction.

If you buy a premade account and Ebay or PayPal ask you to send a copy of ID, credit card statement, etc... What would one do at that point?
