Hi,
I tried this early on an put my location and buyers then caused me nothing but problems because they expected the item to be shipped quicker from that location.
Even though I added they will be shipped in xxx days they did not either read it or expected something different.
Now that ebay is pushing the 2-3 day shipping at us it might be hard to get buyers to wait 10-20 days.
Just my opinion but buyers to me have little patience even if you put it is red bold lettering.
Hope it works out for you.

You are not actually allowed to say the item is in the UK/US and then dropship from China, your accounts will not last if people start giving bad feedback and low DSR's!!!

Although... If you are selling low qty and really want to dropship, you could simply email every seller after they have purchased the item and say something on the lines of "...we have run out of stock for this item, sorry blah blah blah, but we can simply get our supplier to send one from our warehous in China blah blah etc etc..."

The buyers who don't want this will accept a refund and other buyers will accept the wait for the item, feedback will usually then be based on quality of item more than shipping times.

Although whatever you do, do not put the item location as China when you are based in the UK unless you are prepared to give eBay all the documents they require because you will usually be limited/suspended within hours of listing.

Some buyers are patient, others are not. Most of them do NOT read the descriptions very closely. So, even if you put a delivery time of 10-20 days in HUGE HINKING letters, you will STILL get buyers who are upset their items took so long to arrive.

Dropshipping is dicey on eBay. According to their rules, dropshipping is allowed - but in practice, they really don't like it.

Do not ever ever ever ever do something like this unless you are prepared, if you are using your real info for eBay it is damn risky! You only get one shot at eBay with your real details.

Wonder if it would be good for people like you to never use their real details until they have had some extensive experience with eBay using stealth accounts??

p.s. My first ever real account got suspended for dropshipping from China.

@Mermaid - very good that you brought this up BEFORE you started doing in. Other folx have wisely been contributing and the fact that this account is in YOUR personal info, yes be careful.

If you want to try this, do it on a stealth account - Big IF.

All the best.

you have to say it location is from China. I have the same experience but I said the item is from US because my warehouse is there but then I got complains from my buyer because the item is from China. Some buyers will not notice about from where your item come but most buyers will do. Just get away from troubles and said that the item is from China :D

Thing is though, it only takes "some" eBay buyers to complain or leave low dsr negative feedback for your account and you will hit drastic selling limits because of the modern day eBay!
