Default Multiple accounts drama with one buyer !!!!

how to play this out?
i have 3 accounts, just to extend my selling limits.
i had one buyer, buy 1 item from each of my accounts not knowing im the same person behind them.
im thinking of shipping him the items with different return addresses (friend home's) and change my shipping style of each so it looks like the items came from 3 different sellers.

or...
tell the buyer im the same guy?

yuck, this is messy

i would not put the same return address on the packages and definitely do NOT tell him you are one in the same.

you are playing a deadly game with ebay. multiple accounts to get around selling limits is one sure fire way to get nuked in a hurry.

Has he paid separate shipping on each item? Then do as you plan - 3 separate orders. What did he buy?

ebay already knows im running the 3 accounts as the same person.
i already know if something happens to 1, the next 2 will follow.

he has paid for 1 item. a small lot of books.
he already sent an email on my 1 account about combined shipping (not on the other accounts but rather on the same account but diffrent items)

sometime you have that feeling that ther will be a buyer who will make a fuss.
worst case he emails me and says this all came from 1 person.

im going to just ship them in different ways
change the packing style, the tape, shipping label and my hand writing

the biggest issue i have is the zip codes. all the addresses im using are the same area.

worst case he figures it out and makes a s^&*-storm about it.

As a buyer - think about it - why would he care so much about your ways of packing if 1) item is GOOD and 2) he gets WHAT HE PAYS FOR. Again - he paid shipping x 3 so...you ship 3 diff package. Sure put a diff return address on it - I doubt he will make big fuss.

the way i pack is simply for misdirection. when i buy, i dont even look at the return address.
and focus on the product.
guy might see 3 same addresses and ask for refund in shipping,
again,im looking at worst case scenarios. at this point im just digging myself a hole..mostly with this buyer..esp with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name, but 3 real addresses.

it's all about the books, used books, they don't cost much, write all the different addreses and ship it. if he likes it, well it's done, you're happy, if he isnot just refund and forget about your old junky books, make him happy and he will leave positive fb for you, that's what you need rather than the books...

I get this a lot.

I use different tape, clear on one, priority on another etc.

I pack them differently and I ship them out on a different day.

I do not want the package to show up the same day at the buyers house so I stall a day on one package or spread them out.

Sometimes I get one as a pickup, drop one off at the PO etc.

You do not want them to know you are the same. Buyers are like little ebay robots and will report anything do their leader.

first time for me.
yes..i did the same thing with the tape.

and so far..packages are being sent out on diffrent days

i put different return addresses.diffrent names.

id rather lose the package and refund the buyer than shows im the same guy.

and yeah...buyers maybe be like robots and go to ebay when they see something fishy.
i have a story ready just in case im asked why the 3 accounts.

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to throw in my two cents. I have a UPS Store mail box. The address is only shown on the shipping label. I don't have it added to any account as an address but I use it for multiple stealth account shipping labels. I told the guys at the UPS store that mail would be coming in labeled "Warehouse Mail" and then the address. So my return address looks like this

Warehouse Mail
25 Smith Dr #A340
XXXX. CA 95000

To the buyer it merely looks like it was shipping from the same fulfillment center (ala FBA) and not necessarily the same person. In 3 years I think I've had one person mention the fact that it came from the same address and I told him it was a fulfillment center that the item was shipped from and played dumb about the other selling account. I never admit knowing the other seller (even though it is me).

The downfall is I can't print shipping labels with paypal or ebay or amazon...but at least I'm getting my items back if they are returned. BTW. I'm a pretty big time seller. All my accounts (5 ebay and 5 amazon) all have EIN's added. So far we have been up and running like this for a while.

As mentioned, if you don't want to piss him off... combine shipping and give him a bit of money back.

Good way to keep things separate - fulfillment center is a nice professional touch.

Technically that is what we are...I just happen to be managing the business side of things too. We sell a pretty diverse range of products.

It works though.

I am lost.

eBay knows all these accounts are linked, so what is it you were trying to get around?

Looks like you were just trying to get out of combined postage, which you do not have to do especially if it doesn't say so on the ad
