Of course you can, but its usually tougher to come by and it maybe a niche market when it comes to huge profit margins.

But my point was even though someone has alot of sales it doesn't mean their necessarily mean making alot of money could be little or no money at all.

Some do it just for feedback.

I had a years break from all this selling platform. I started to sell this year, and from what i can see it has bad days and good days.
I sell good at weekdays rather than weekends...for some old reason
High Value items..come sell around 100 a week.
Small items from 300 to 500 per week, profit end of the month i would say between anything to £6000 to £8000.
Hard for sure, but i am on stealth and non stealth too.
Moving to sell on other platform to go a website soon.

My avg selling price is $20 an item after fees/shipping, so yes there are huge profits available. So around Christmas time $20 x 500 = $10,000.....a day

Nicely done HWGA.

I slowed down alot this year to about 1-5 items per day as I am trying not to put all my eggs in one basket. Branching out to other areas.

Yes, not like it was but profits can be found still today.

But, it cannot be a new wholesale item that everyone can get.

I specialize in antiques and collectibles therefore smaller competition and the pool of people in this area is shrinking all the time as most younger 35 or below are and never were interested in antiques and collectibles.

Most older people I watched and learned from since I was a kid are gone or retired. I hardly ever see young people at auctions anymore. Mostly older people who are just doing it for fun now.

Many that have no clue bid up stuff 5 times its value or run out of money.

Antiques and collectibles for those with years of knowledge is still highly profitable.

Add in yard sale crap and a few new things and profits in volume is what I think goes.

Not much competition in the auctions anymore. I think it is because people who used to have money and knowledge are not showing up and if they do they are not buying anymore.

The other thing is Americans are getting older and shrinking their houses and therefore the items they have. I am seeing a nice trend of better goods coming to auctions lately. For a few years it was mostly low end household stuff but not anymore.

I have a goal to sell 500 items in one day. Might never hit it but I am going to try.

Sounds like a lot of hassle.

I sell about 2 items/day.

I am working with around maybe 100 items a month, sales are so random. I went with 30 day bins instead of running auctions as its easier on me.

Was selling 25-30 a day at 13.99£ - Could of EASILY doubled that and no it wasn't legit.

Have plenty of ideas of things that could get some serious money for that is legit just have to 'think outside the box'..

Eh, I went into this biz to have freedom. I work 5 hours a day max, take weekends off and sell all my inventory through auctions. I probably sell around 5-7 items per day spread on 8-11 stealth accounts, if I do it by monthly sales and divide by 30. 5-7 items per week per account.

Hassle?

If you think building a massive amount of accounts for use later is a hassle then you need to stop doing this.

2 items per day is all you sell?

Guess you need to stop completely, selling 2 items per day would be a total waste of my time.

Just to let you know I sold over 200 items yesterday for more then 10,000 in sales. Profits around 4,000. I spent about 2 hours packing, making labels etc today for them. Add in the time I spent buying the items, picture taking and listing I made probably made 350 per hour. Not too shabby.

Now would you consider that a hassle?

I now have 50+ working accounts with feedback and another 50 new accounts I am starting to work on to build feedback.

My goal is to have 100 working accounts by Christmas time with no selling limits to any account.

My other goal is to have 300 or more accounts created and aging for later use.

Oh and I sold 25 items this week on Amazon and 5 items on Craigslist.
