safest items to list on ebay

what would be the safest items to list on ebay without having trouble of them booting the account if its new? i do not ever sell vero but what would be the safest thing to sell?

i was thinking of selling some shipping supplies to get started. good idea?

Try a few household(non vero) items to get a few feedback and then start listing higher value items OR if you want to speed up the process, get a few friends/family or relatives that have ebay accounts and tell them to auction off stuff for easy free and cost free feedback!

A friend of mine in England used to go into a place like Sam's club and buy Sharpies pens and then sell them at a good profit on ebay.

Office supplies are very safe.

Guys .......

Please understand one crucial thing about eBay!

It doesn't matter WHAT YOU ARE SELLING! You could list literally nothing at all and you will still get flagged!

You can make listing with no pictures and no content and you will still be flagged IF you mess with eBay's system too much.

Sure, high risk items like electronics have more potential to get you banned on a new account but eBay system is very sensitive and also flawed in many ways.

I am pretty sure it wasn't this way many years ago but today eBay is very different place, especially when you are a brand new seller.

REMEMBER! No one is actually watching your listings, EXCEPT THE BOTS!

Constantly analyzing and collecting data. And of course there are ebay employees who are constantly manually reviewing accounts IF and when eBay's bot decided to alert them.

I sell yard sale junk for a while on all new accounts.

Once in a while toss in something better.

Corelle dish wear sells well and you can find it at most yard sales or thrift shops.

Books, items which don't fault or break easily, items which arn't prone to vero (which is rare these days). I just think of when i opened my first ebay account many years ago and was selling cheap complete junk/carboot style items..

I even sell "high risk" items, but sell them as used... I keep it under $30 final sale estimate... Meaning used ipad is still a no go... But stuff like cellphone - parts only... dvd used fair condition. even used shirts will sell....

next will try my superman boxers... Stained included free!

The unfortunate reality is that nothing is really 'safe' to sell on e/b.

You may sell unbranded, generic, household or even non ve ro items but you still can fall foul of buyers if your items or service don't come up to their expectations.

e/b is not the only shark in the pond and poor buyer fb will get you without e/b doing a thing.

How about buy baseball cards off ebay (for less than $1) and then re-sell them. That way you get good feedback and a good history.
