Default How do you offer free shipping and still make a profit?

Okay I am really pissed off! How can someone sell an iPhone case from USA for 20$ with free shipping when shipping cost is around 15$. What about the final fees? What about the cost of the product itself? Can someone explain this to me? Or is there a special rate if you sign up for an account with companies like UPS or CanadaPost(if you are in Canada)

Sandy or anyone else. Do you know if it is possible for me to arrange shipping via USPS from Canada? Lets say I log in into USPS website, pay postage on their website, print label and send it from Canada. Do you know if this works?

I think they will resend the package to you for insufficient postage. A friend of mine tried that a few years back and that was the outcome.

hahhhahahaaha, there you go.

If something seems screwy you can always head down to your post office and they'll show you all the rates.. including the cheapest one.

Simple.... overcome it with volume.

USPS are always cheaper if you dig. It's like no one wants them to know how cheap they are with certain things, it's always frustrated the heck out of me.

Hahaha! I am pretty happy that now I can the potential to make a few pennies. Unfortunately there is such a huge competition for iPhone cases on ebay. It's time to get creative.

As FE mentioned.

You have to take out the competition by selling in volume or bulk or be so creative to get customer to your listings.

Bonus items work for me a lot.

This is SO true! It's why I said I must become creative. Sometimes it's better to lose a few dollars but gain more customers. Good advice. And yes obviously volume is important. If your profit is even 5$ but you sell 300 a month, well then you made some good profit

Canada to the States = International = more expensive, though not as expensive of course as to Europe, Asia, South America, etc.
