Default haha guess what a buyer asked me to do on Ebay since I had only (2) feedbacks lol

Got a new Ebay account in my girls name with only 2 positives. Sold a 10 card lot of baseball cards for $170 and the buyer asked me if I could send him the cards first and when he gets them he will send the money. He had a feedback rating of over 300+ too! First time in 10+ years I've heard that one from a reputable buyer. The 10 card lot consisted of some old reprints that were listed as "unknown so there being sold a reprints" so I am sure that's why he wanted to do that. I simply told him I called Ebay and customer service told me by no means should I ever do this and he immedietely paid!

21 day holds is effectively ensuring that you get paid only when the buyer is satisfied anyway. So what he suggests has no place on eBay.

Hmm - think I'll try that

"Send me the shoes you are selling and if I like them I'll pay for them - if I don't like them you can call and collect them"

Do you think I'll get many new pairs of shoes?

Shame on that buyer trying to get over on you.

I sell very popular gift cards and there is one user who NEVER wins any of them. Yet, waits roughly a day after the auction has ended and sends me a message requesting to have the card info emailed to them.

This particular ebay account I use has almost 150fb and the listing clearly says I never email info. The user has like 80fb and all positive. I have already blocked them from bidding.

My guess is that account was hijacked or this scam has worked in the past. They have been on ebay since 2000.....smh

what bsg1979 did was good. As you do not want to put someone on the spotlight cause they will do something stupider.

Whenever I have a problem like that I usually just tell them I called Ebay customer support and CS told be no means to what they asked and it always solves the problem even tho I would never call CS. He paid for the item the next day after I told him this. I sold 10 baseball cards and 5 of them were old reprints. I clearly stated in my listing "I don't know if there original or reprints so they will be sold as reprints". I guarantee that's why he wanted me to send them to him first and I guarantee when he gets them he's going to complain that there reprints even tho it's cleary stated in my auction...

There is some kind of new paypal thing.... Pay after receiving item and satisfied. Something of that nature... Out of all accounts I only have 1 paypal where its a beta thing has this option. So maybe that is where he got the idea...?

I had it attempted only once, did a buy it now and did an obvious sob story about how his wife was on her sick-bed and could I send it for her birthday and he will pay later...needless to say I cancelled transaction.

but for refund had a few people say refund me now and I will send back after, when I say no, they go silent and go away....
