Yes, and I acknowledge that for the first one. And all is well with that one as you restored it and removed the "bad" words referring to the con-artists. But the second one leaves me puzzled. No messages were ever exchanged and your reply to it left me confused... as it seemed you were reading something different to what was posted.

Oh I agree for sure. But want to avoid countries where I will be scammed 1 out of every 6 sales. No money to made that way.
Know what I mean? There are scammers and honest people everywhere...you just have to figure what countries are most likely to have individuals who will scam you and avoid em.

Do we really need to add Nigeria to the list? That should be common sense for people not to ship to Nigeria, Scam Capital of the World lol

Elijah 08-31-2012 08:17 AM

I would actually send there IF I actually got paid for real and didn't just get sent some stupid, obviously ⊗⊗⊗⊗ email claiming to be from PayPal, telling me that payment has been received but that it is supposedly on hold due to it being from an international transaction (never heard of that policy before...) and that I will *definitely* (should bring up red flags everywhere... would the real PayPal think that they need to assure me that the transaction is legitimate with such wording? Get real) be paid once the buyer confirms receipt.

I believe ebay buyers and sellers are going to experience more difficulties with tracked items in the future. I only have to sign for 10% of my incoming international tracked mail via Royal Mail, although they require 100% signature for UK originated mail. If I was dishonest I could make a mint out of my foreign purchases.

It is not only Royal Mail, a good number of smaller courier delivery firms do not need a signature despite describing their service as tracked. All they do is leave a card in the letterbox and put the package 'in the shed or garage' or something.

Sometimes item is left with neighbour (RM and couriers) - not too bad as long as you are on good terms with your neighbour

i think it depends on the invividual buyer rather than on a country. i've had so many problems shipping to singapore and japan that i thought i will stop shipping to these countries. but i'm sure it depends on the person, in every coutry there are scammers and good people.

makaveliagain 09-02-2012 03:01 AM

Have had by far the most problems with Spain and Italy. Also I will never ever ship a package to Turkey again. I have shipped 4 and had PayPal disputes opened for not receiving on all of them.

Don't ship any items to anywhere in the Middle East, damn terrorist.

tryingtofigurethisout 09-02-2012 07:54 PM

I honestly haven't been shipping to anywhere outside of the U.S. for complete fear of being closed down. This is a great post to read.

Not sure why anyone would ship to Russia, it's blocked by default on Ebay. Was reading online, and its hard to import items into the country.

Anyhow, I ship world wide depending on the item and whether I am willing to take the risk. I purposely increase the price for international shipping, this covers for any possibly lost items. I've blocked majority of Asia, and Africa. If you block Asia, remember to enable New Zealand.
