Countries Not to Ship to: THE LIST
 

I think it would be a good idea to put together a list of countries NOT to ship to on ebay. This way we can all block these countries from bidding on our auctions.
So far I have been scammed (or just lost packages) multiple times from:
Russia
Brazil
Ukraine
Nigeria

Would be nice to have a big list.
Let me know who else?

Big list for this? Kind of logical - I have shipped all over the world - I tend to place judgement on the individual. Maybe you did not research enough on the individual to place faith.

It is not a good idea at all, first you can judge on a country because you got scammed from an individual or 2, but even so, they can use VPN and avoid restrection

Italy is my number one not to ship.

But each person has their own preference on shipping to what countries. It also depends on the item you are selling.

I have shipped to Brazil and ever had any problems. But I only ship there on rare occasions when they pay for Express mail only where it can be tracked.

Brazil is far superior to those other countries. I am surprised you have had major issues there?

On the flip side I haven't had a single problem shipping to Japan.

Oh yea I love Japan. They pay top dollar for SSD drives.

Every time I list a SSD drive, about 1/4 of the buyers are Japanese.

I have had many pleasant transactions with Italians, contrary to many others' experiences. I do feel very sorry for the legitimate Nigerians though... the few scammers have sullied the reputation of an entire nation, and it is virtually impossible to do online business from there. I remember there being a lady on here who wanted to start up an online business like the rest of us, but had to move first as her location (Nigeria) would prove to be a significant hindrance.

only country I do not ship to is nigeria. Other than that, I have not had any negative experience with the others on the list.

I dont ship outside out USA. Guess how many issues I have had in 14+ years.....ZERO

In my opinion its not the country its the individual. Do some research on him then decide if you want to take the risk or not.

Add Indonesia... one of the most dishonest and corrupt places on earth.

i will send anywhere but i can track almost all my items so i dont really worry about getting diddled with items not recieved claims

For me, I'd ship within the US, UK and Austrailia only. On occasion to Malaysia and some parts of Asia, Oceania, and Europe.

Africa, Italy, South America and worst of all..... Antarctica is a Big No No for me.

It also depends on what you are selling. Some items like electronics are MAGNETS for scammers. Books, not so much.

I have to admit I always exclude Africa and Asia, but that is mostly based on things I have HEARD rather than on things I have EXPERIENCED. Maybe I should rethink this...
