Default Advice on Grandfather ebay account

Hi everyone,

I just got access to a friend's eBay account. It was made in 2004 and have 5x feedbacks (both as seller and buyer). I would like to ask, what would be the best way for me to receive money from sellers? My friend does not want to give me his paypal account because his info is there.

1. Link a new paypal account to the old ebay account.

2. Using a merchant account instead . If so, which merchant account is most convenient to use?

Also, would there be any chance that the ebay account would still be imposed a seller limit even though it is from 2004? What tactics would minimize the chance of that happening? This is a very rare account so I do not want to screw up lol.

Btw , I read the Stealth Book already , would like some advice from you guys. Thanks!

When was the last selling?

Dont go into this thinking all will be great & you have unlimited amounts to sell.

ebay may well turn around and treat this as a new account. That has been their trend.

What do you plan to do if everything goes well? Might help with replies.

The last sale was in 2011, it sucks to hear that ebay is limiting even old accounts.

First question is

1. Why would someone allow you to do this?
2. What happens if they need this account themselves someday?
3. What happens if you get the account banned and then the friend/grandfather needs the account to use it?
4. Many here have posted they lost family members, friends, etc due to using someone elses account.
5. Why not buy one of the accounts here and use it, most will have decent limits and you wont be putting yourself in a hole if your friend needs their account back.

If they used it in 2011 and the account in from 2004 and only have 5 feedback this will be treated almost like a new account.

I highly suggest you do not do this.

You will gain nothing from it other then a small amount of time that can be fixed by buying an account or making your own.
