Slim as usual is dead on correct.

Huge mistake listing any electronics on a new account.

A better option would be cellphone parts but don't list a phone as your first 5 items atleast.

I personally think the phone would be ok, as long as it isnt a very expensive item, and in high demand. You shouldnt run into any issues. Throw the memory card in there. 1gb is nothing these days.

I'd suggest going to a 99cent store and picking up some items from there

While Cell phones and electronics MIGHT go through at first, it is highly not suggested

I think I'll do that, I'll go into one of those 99 cent stores here and grab at random or should I look at something particular?

Personally I think you could get away with it.

This is completely normal behavior in eBay's eyes...A person wants to sell their phone, they sign up for eBay and put it up for auction. Nothing out of the ordinary here IMO.

Ebay does not like accounts that list electronics right away. There is just no point to risk an account with these items . What happens in the end is that someone buys an account from a seller and then will complain about their account becoming limited. Think of it from that point

Ya thats what i was thinking. Most ordinary people just sign up and list.... Most ordinary people can verifiy account tho also. I had not had to create new account in forever hate the grind....always new i should have more backups tho. Guess ill just experiment like i did before. Some grind some go at it.

Also worth noting is besides the phones being high risk, the fact that you dont think of spreading sales means that you might not be ready

Most people think it is bad idea but it is no problem with me. All my account listed electronics item as first item and they all OK.

Beside the 10/$1000 limit, you will get the category limit as well. You can list 1 and properly 2 but not 3 items. That happen to all my account

maybemy wording was wrong sorry phone goes for 80-100 have a few but not putting more than one on a account to start. I dont think i could if i wanted to. All ebay new accounts have a limit on how many phones you can sell. norm only 1 a month
