2013 SPRING SELLER UPDATE

FREE fixed price listings* every month!

As an eBay seller, you're in the best possible position to reach the millions of buyers flocking to the world's largest marketplace—many of them looking for just what you're selling. Updates coming this spring will make it easier than ever for you to cash in on that opportunity.

New: List up to 50 FREE* every month—Auction-style or fixed price.

Starting April 16, your 50 free listings* per month can be Auction-style or fixed price. You pay a final value fee only when your item sells.
Final value fees will be streamlined to just one competitive flat rate of 10%—regardless of how you sell.
Get a FREE listing scheduler for more control over when your listings start and end.

Get details about how the new everyday rate plans impact you.

eBay's taking action to reduce unpaid items and keep your inventory available

Starting in May, most fixed price and Auction-style listings purchased with Buy It Now will continue to be available for sale until a buyer pays.
When you accept a Best Offer in the Art, Jewelry & Watches, and Computers & Tablets categories, your items will be available for sale until the buyer commits and, in most cases, pays.
Starting in April, if you do get an unpaid item, you'll be able to file a claim more quickly, cutting two days from the time until your item is relisted.

Protection for your rating when you win a case

Starting in May, when you win an eBay Buyer Protection case, any feedback and related Detailed Seller Ratings (DSRs) left by the buyer on that transaction will be removed from your record.

Let buyers know you ship the same day

You work hard to get your orders shipped promptly. Starting in late May, you'll be able to specify same-day handling when you list to help those items stand out.

Opt in now to manage your business policies the easy way

The new business policies functionality announced last year lets you define your shipping, return, and payment policies once and apply them to your listings with just a few clicks. This new functionality is available for all sellers so opt in now—all sellers will be opted in by default starting in late June.

Text in pictures = less money spent on subtitles

I actually am impressed at the removal of DSR's if a buyer protection case is won by the seller. This is good news to a lot of people.

4% For Computers with Store Subscription.

Was 5% before.

The added 3% Paypal fee is what rapes you.

Wonderful. They're raising the fvf to a "competitive" flat 10%. Thanks eBay for helping us out with competitive fees.

If you sell enough you can easily get that down to 2.3% of less

Well it looks like Fixed price is now the way to go. No more discounts for doing auctions. Nice to see store sellers finally get a bit of the benfit if you sell in the right categories unfortunately.

Actually for me as a buyer of many things I go nuts seeing all the wording on the photos and can barely see the actual photo.

Some have went overboard with the large bold letters.

They want to convert more sellers to stores or something now?

with the basic store its cheaper to go with that then to get 50 free and pay for the other 100 even at the old 0.25 rate.

or can we still start at .99 and only pay a dime?

10% flat rate for those without a store? I know they varied, but this is an increase for most categories, right?

I have been given the error that some pictures do not meet the size requirements also.

Photos will have to meet other requirements then just text etc.
