Everyone's sales still slow? I sell Women's Clothing right now and sales have been almost dead starting from the middle of this month. I have 50 watchers on newly listed products within a day but no sales, where normally I get 10-20 sales per day.

yotano211 04-27-2013 05:04 PM

My are going along ok, not bad but just ok. Prices seem to be about 10-15% below average on auctions.

Same here, I used to have 25 things needing to be shipped every night constantly and bringing in $300-$400 a night. However right now, it's down to 4-5 items. Garbage. I'm wasting more time with eBay with problems and customers wanting refunds after they have used the item for 30 days or more.

I stopped using Auction, too much monitoring, since the market is so soft. Before, I knew I would still break even. However now, I have to monitor each item at auction to make sure I don't end up taking losses.

yotano211 04-27-2013 06:21 PM

its why i start my auctions at a higher price.

I tried that, but got no bite. I went trough two weeks of just trying everything at break even cost which is still way below market value, but these idiots just want that bullsh1t 0.01cent garbage.

yotano211 04-27-2013 06:28 PM

I have that problem too. I think next week I might just cut back on sales and wait a few weeks.

imjustme 04-28-2013 01:53 PM

I just noticed, eBay is running a special of 100,000 free auction listings from April 20 - April 29, that's likely the reason why sales are slow. eBay is basically swamped with that huge amount of listings.

MM78 04-28-2013 01:55 PM

I already used up my 100,000! lol

exxomscp 04-28-2013 05:04 PM

Same, things are sort of slow and sluggish, but we're getting by little by little..

I've also had an extreme amount of cancellations, 3 in one week.

Get out of my warehouse mm.

:suspicious:

bowlfan912 04-29-2013 06:46 PM

i think i found my niche with sportscards but im still averaging 1-4 non payers out of 50 items.

SaiJin 04-29-2013 10:29 PM

Well this month has been hell. 20% of sales only and triple the amount of buyers remorse who makes excuses trying to blame me instead.

I'm starting to feel really angry .

100HRWEEK 04-30-2013 12:02 AM

Let's recap April:

1. March was soft, had left over inventory for April which should had been all sold in March.
2. Started April with 7 day Suspension (One Week Gone)
3. Remaining 3 weeks, were super slow
4. Sold 2-3 big items (Decent Profit to Keep vs the Burn & Churn $1 joke profits)
5. All said big item buyers want the items returned.
6. Got a few RED Negative feedback from the (Burn & Churn $1 profit items).
7. Got a 30 day suspension, pushing all the way to May
8. Pending open cases as usual
9. Can't add in any new inventory
10. Loved April

Dunersdunes 04-30-2013 12:09 AM

Im always same 2,500 weekly. Thats what i list. Spend 1 day a week on ebay. 1 Day auctions or buy it now. Both always end in 24 hours or less selling about 23 to 26 of the same thing. I could list more and more but like 6 days off to spend with my son. Being single dad of 3 year old eats up time. Lol

Next month i will double up in sales
Theres a few needy families i draw from a hat, through "Helping Hands" with needy children and will help and donate near 5,000 for the month buying their food and toys and such for their kids. I do that 2 times a year. Thats when i really put in a few extra days to help out

Good luck to everyone and hope for those of you struggling things turn around 10 fold for you

Thanks

I usually end the month without 2-4% that are nonpaying buyers. This month looks like closer to 15%. I still have some open cases for nonpayment and other that havent opened yet but it might be close to 15% nonpaying this month. wow, I remember, last year wasnt this bad and I was selling the same things from last year.

O.Michaels 04-30-2013 06:08 AM

wow, amazing.

...pretty good, not to mention the fact that my PayPal got limited!

Nice Dunersdunes - I do the same but not from my sales. Nice to see happy faces - 1 time for needy families with children - another time for the local shelter for adults - 3rd time for a very sick ward of a children's hospital.

Dunersdunes 04-30-2013 10:45 AM

Cool deal rsot. Good to hear. Great to see others willing to help out. Keep up the great work.

golden_monkey 04-30-2013 11:55 AM

Impact 05-01-2013 04:31 AM

I personally haven't had trouble with my sales. Its still selling at the same rate.

In regards to current holiday in China, its from April 29th to May 02 if anyone was wondering.

user3657 05-01-2013 05:39 AM

Extremely slow for me too...aprils sales were down 50% :(

This week did pick up a little, hopefullly more to follow :)

Had a handful of returns too, which never happens for me...

golden_monkey 05-01-2013 10:50 AM

this is my 1st solid heavy 12 month go around... started really jumping on it hard around aug and things from aug till feb were strong.. march started sputtering but the end of april just fell on its face.

You never really know where these eBay donations go. I personally never trust any 3rd party organizations who collect donations. Just because I know they only give 10 percent and keep the rest to themselves. You want to help someone ? Go buy warm cloth and food to the homeless etc ...

newjerseymax 05-01-2013 10:59 PM

Still making sales, however the average sale price much lower. I can barely afford to pay the help and the overhead is getting bigger not smaller.

I work these months to be ready for holiday season when the real profits are made.

Would you say that profits were better 2 ,3 ,4 years ago? And if yes what in your opinion has changed ? Less traffic? Less buyers? More sellers ?

100HRWEEK 05-02-2013 01:18 AM

April is booked, let's see what May brings. Can china be on Holiday always please.

I dont give ebay a dime, mine go directly to the cancer places I know of.

Best if you want to donate do it yourself.

Well, Christmas is coming...

Well you are on your to 20,000 post then.

But since it is positive like you said, we love positive thinkers who really contribute and actually help others.

Christmas is just around the corner and the $$$ are starting to appear.

Sales so far this week are well, usually show some green and get lots of items turning green on Fridays but this week it seems I am getting hit with multiple bids more then normal.

Tax returns or the first of the month might have a part in it.

SaiJin 05-02-2013 10:05 AM

It is still very slow here and I think buyers just want to have something, but don't want to pay for it , thus they take advantage of the guaranteed refund process.

Sales literally dropped around 80%.

It's just so sudden it's shocking.

O.Michaels 05-02-2013 12:19 PM

Thanks Sandy,
your reply made my DAY :clap::clap::clap:

Ha HA good for you. I hope my stuff last for that. I could have made a lot of money last Christmas and screwed up. Didn't order enough merch. Ran out 2 weeks B 4. MY BAD!

SFBayer 05-02-2013 02:12 PM

Glad it's not only me. Sales seem to have HALTED. Lots of watchers, no bites. Usually I can sell stuff within 24-72 hrs of listing and it's just been a flatline all week.

Hope things pick up for everyone.

lagathy 05-02-2013 05:21 PM
