Default Restricted Fund Availablity - Account Active - Pull Out?

Hello,

Today was an evaluation day for me. Came back to see that the account and paypal were active. Got happy that I still have another month to fight. Went to ship the items, and saw this message for the first time: "Funds from one or more of your sales are pending in your PayPal account. The estimated availability date is shown below" and pretty much anything that's been purchased today has a Fund Release date of Jul-11-13 (Nearly a Month Away [3 Weeks]). Now there is no way I'm going to ship thousand dollars worth of item, let Paypal enjoy my money just to get them back in 3 weeks and that's if they don't play any games after the 3 weeks. Now my question is, since both of my accounts are active, should I just close them peacefully and let them cool off? Perhaps come re-visit the scenario in 1-2 months and see where everything stands? That would basically be like shutting my whole operation down for 2 months.

P.S. I have multiple accounts, however I do all my buying on one account, and all of my selling on a main account (Also is a Store).

Thanks,

I would say let it cool off then come back

BUT

there is also the chance that since you were inactive on the account that they might be inactive on their holds policy.

I would ship smaller 1-5 dollar items to show them that you are shipping promptly and such to get the holds off.

If you ship your item and upload the tracking number once it shows delivered the funds get released 2-3 days later. It's only 21 days if u have no tracking.

What happened on your account low DSRs??? How old is it???

Just letting it cool off wont lift the holds , the holds lift after a good history , fast shipping item arrives positive feedback,etc...

That depends on your cash flow. If you have money to invest in, why not continue?
If you only sell on main account with real info, you can get the money after 21 days for sure.
Because you only have one main selling account, I suggest you to keep selling as long as you have enough money to fund your operations.

Now all accounts come with holds but once u establish history they lift them which could take 3-4 months or longer but if tracking uploaded it is released after 3 days once delivered

I would ship items with tracking numbers that require signature on delivery, upload tracking info into PP. That way the money will be released a few days after the item is delivered. Letting the account rest will not remove the 21 day hold, and will not improve your DSR.

Sell some cheap items that you know you can post fast with free shipping, that will improve your DSR so long as you get them in the post asap and they are as described.

Hello Guys,

This account is from 2002, and my only problem was low DSR by 14 asshole buyers, out of 2500 positive feedback. That's less than 1%, putting me around 98% feedback area. I seell iPhones at 500/each. I sell around 50-70 iPhones a month which at 500 is $25,000. I can't have Paypal hold 25K in funds. What if they close my account and hold hte 25K for 180 days.

Also my second part of my business is dropshipping, and when customers pay me directly, I use their money to purchase their items instantly. So without the funds being available, I'm buying from my own cash and that's another 20K a month.

Thanks,

Yea if you need the funds to buy your product than you will have problems, but again it is not 21 day hold , if u upload tracking and say you ship priority so in 3 days it will say delivered and 3 more days funds released so 6 day hold , but you will need to slow your business down and only sell what you have in stock, there's no way around the hold , create multiple accounts spread your sales out

For dropshipping, you need to have separate stealth pp's for buying stock and selling them off otherwise could be problematic.

He would need to slow his sales down and hopefully after a month or so of good feedback they will release the funds but I'd def start building stealth accounts just for the problem he's having now he's entire business is in trouble rather than just a small piece

I'd suggest just keep selling, only stock you already have and skip the dropshipping til your account is hold free again, but going inactive won't really help anything, the holds will probably be enacted again when you start back up, same if you start a whole new account, you are still gonna face holds until paypal is satisfied with your performance, shipping, feedback etc. holds suck but its the nature of the beast sometimes, you're only option is to play along til it's gone or give up and that's an awful lot of sales to toss aside.

Since, I don't sell high volume items, it's hard for me to get massive amount of feedback. As mentioned, in a full month I can do 50-70 iPhones, and if every single one of them still left Feedback, it'll be an extra 50 feedback which wouldn't bring my % up that drastically. Also, leaving 25K at the fate of Paypal with all the horror stories is a bit scary.

P.S. I'm being asked to post a Credit Card for a Protection Plan. Before since my account was linked to Paypal, any problems would be linked to Paypal and as result would had been taken care of there. Now they want me to add a CC for the Protection plan, have any of you done the same?

I put up my own cash to buy my stock. why can't you? its the risk of doing business.

managing cash flow and tracking monthly sales vol is pretty basic stuff...........

eb4y doesn't like drop shipping for a reason

Because for some people it's a lot easier...personally I rather have my items right in front of me and within reach of my fingers.

yea, if its in your hands and you are the one shipping, you KNOW it went fast, you KNOW what exactly you shipped and if someone say otherwise... well YOU are the one that did it.

dropshipping seems like flying blind...... blah, i take my quality and shipping speeds serious.

Thanks, however it's very unfortunate that there is a generic system in place that compares my account to an account selling DVDs. It's a lot harder to keep 50 customers happy that just paid you $500/each than someone who paid $3 for a DVD. But it is what it is.
