Default # of Items to sell on new account?

Whats a safe number of items to sell per day/week on a new account and how fast can I build it up? I want to try and make it a good stealth account that can sell over 10 items per day eventually, but I dont want to wait 3 months and crap to start actual listings.

You most likely won't have to wait that long as ebay has been giving selling rate increases quicker and easier.

max out your sales then click the request higher limits, don't call them when you get we couldn't verify your info message and a short bit later you'll be increased to 50 items 5000 sales.

It will go up again if you max it out the next month. That's how it's been for me.

They wont limit you right away asking for proof or they wont want to call seeing as you're a brand new seller selling a lot?

Depends on lots of factors. Category of the item. Your eBay buying history. Lots of things. And in some cases just dumb luck. Pushing the limits on eBay early on always leads to MC999 verification requests. I hate to say it but building accounts take time especially if you are going the stealth route. Patience is a virtue now a days.

It is unlikely that you will get to limits of 300 items per month within 3 months. A good stealth takes time and requires patients. If you want to be able to sell more, create more stealths.

Lol. Unless you have legit account and invoices no way. It takes almost 6 moths just to get up to a $2000 or $3000 a month selling limit. That is if you do everything right. Not mention on a new account if you list in a risky account to many items you will get a MC999. Building stealth's is now an art form. It is for the patient with the smarts/experience.

After my first all real info account was killed just few days after me Calling for limit raises now one of my main points in my stealth business plan is to never call.

If I need raises i create another account and I have 10 more items , a little patience goes along way now all my accounts get raises every month, just had to tough it out in the beginning and make alot of accounts

I have new accounts that i use to browse and buy a few items, then after 2 weeks has passed i have listed most of my 25 item limit.
But i do not sell high risk items, i sell used items to start off with and then move onto my stock selling.

If you want to sell a lot of items, be cafeful and don't go listing VERO items on a new account and it should be fine.

@OP, open couple more backup accounts and spread the sales - build all the accounts up

Ebay's being quite fast and loose with the account increases on new accounts lately several VIP members have noted this in other post themselves.

As long as everything you list is as described and shipped quickly your good to go and increases will come quickly.

no more of that 90 day crap.

Long may it continue, but it does come with caution. Just because you limit has been raised from 10 to 100 does not mean you should suddenly start listing 100 items. Take it slow.

I can count on one hand how many accounts I've had suspended since the 90's. I've got a pretty good handle on this.

If you don't max out or come close ebay will determine you don't need even higher limits and then your stuck.

That being said max out or come close to it spread out over the whole month not in the first two weeks and you'll get more increases.

Happens to me regular as clock work.

You will have to wait and build your account....SLOWLY. 1-2 listings initially then wait for sale to end then list more - you have a lot of reading and experimenting ahead of you

Spreading sales and building accounts as you grow is important.

Sure they are giving quicker increases but you still need more accounts as backups while building.

You wont see 300 items on a new account.

I am getting some 10-1000 to 30-3000 after 60 days and a few 50-5000 also but nothing like 300 is going to happen.

How do you deal with pp ssn request when you reach 200/$20.000 in sales?
