This is becoming a common question lately. It shouldn't be confusing. You simply need to rotate your IPs between Account A and Account B.

By rotating, I mean...

If you logged into Account A with IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.123, then you log into Account B with IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.456.

Keep track of your IPs on an excel spreadsheet. Information was provided by Greenbean here...

when I read the book on changing address,
I just change the last number of mac address from a 5 to a 6 = new ip.

so can i use a 7 on the end to get a new ip again for my next account..

and most importantly when i go back to account A, do i change my mac back to a 6..

or does it not matter as long as I never have the same ip.. lol

And yes I have a spread sheet thats well detailed.

Yes. If that is your way of obtaining a new IP address from your ISP, then that is what you need to do. Some people are far more fortunate, where they only have to reboot their cable modem. I must do the same as you and change the MAC address of my wifi router, then reboot the cable modem to get a new IP address from my ISP, Comcast.

Yes again. You can change that last digit by one digit. All you're really doing is making your cable modem think that your wifi router is a new/different device. When you reboot them both, your cable modem will think your wifi router is a new device and your ISP will assign a new IP to it.

Also I forgot to mention...never change any of the other octets of the MAC address. The other 3 octets (prior to the last 2) are reserved for the manufacturer/model of the device.
You don't want to change that...the last digit is fine.

Also recommend to stay away from the option "clone address of router/pc/modem, etc." Depending on how your home network is setup, this may result in reachability issues within your LAN if 2 devices are sharing same MAC's. Your router ports might start flapping and you may notice slower speeds.

Best to just stick to changing the last digit to make things simple.

Everything that @An0nym0u$ has told you is right on.

So looks like you are successful acquiring multiple IP addresses.

The key is to track the addresses

It is alright to use different IP's on your accounts, you just do not want to use the same IP on multiple accounts. This is what creates a link between accounts.

There are a few excel sheets floating around the forum that can help you out with this.

No. I log in and out of accounts all day every single day and never an issue.

Just make sure you log your ips and never criss cross the use of an ip on different accounts.

Once ip is used it is "owned" by that particular account and cannot be used on another account.

Nope. Just means you have a dynamic IP as opposed to a Static IP.

Remember, ebay cannot link you on IP address alone. There are other factors that come into play, such as cookies, web beacons, name, address, etc.

If they see you with a different IP but all of your information is the same...all it really could mean is you are signing in on different places (your parent's house, friend's house, home, etc.). This alone cannot link you.

I like to use teathering because you get a new ip each time, which makes it look like you have dial up to the bots looking at the account!

Just follow what your friends are saying above me and you should be just fine!!
