There is a bug at the moment in the ebay.com system with listings not being shown on .com. If you have a store they then the store shows zero items for sale. This could be some of the problem, I have it one one account and I'm 80% down to the previous weeks sales, all my other accounts are selling as normal.

It was supposed to be fixed 3 days ago but it still have not been fixed as of this morning - they are working on it......

One buyer complained that his bid went from $13.50 to $20.50 without him setting up highest bid. I don't think he was making this all up since he wrote me a detailed message about his aggravating call to eBay's customer service.

eBay is broken .... AGAIN!

Yes I agree OP my sales are down and I have a lot of Chinese competition that is hitting me hard in the pocket. I have to keep lowering the price and playing up the USA seller rant. I am hoping Christmas sales begin soon.

I list almost everything BIN on my aged accounts where I'm not getting holds from Paypal and the other newer accounts I do 5 day auctions and start my listings between $19 and $50 to start and I have a 99.9% sale rate and with the BIN I have a technique I use that always puts me in the front few listings first page and maybe second page and it doesn't matter what account top rates or not , besides having a great price there is another thing I do that I think gets me in front of 4000 + other of the same item

So I been doing a ton of packaging , shipping, and long rides to my supplier every week, I could have it shipped but I'd rather drive 2hours up and 2 hours back once a week that way I get exactly what I want and pick everything I want. I'm gonna start upping my inventory now that everything is moving well where I can just make maybe Once or twice a month pick up instead of once a week especially with the holidays comming

Like TGMT², I agree with 1 & 4.

However No.3 is the worse issue. I am yet to be convinced that Cassini is even or HAS EVEN ever worked.

We are stuck with a lemon. We do not have a usable search engine. Listings not showing on ebay com, too too many invisible other times are a sign of troubles within ebay.
Whoever wrote their program(s) has made a giant snafu.

We suffer.

Sales are down this entire year for me. The Tax ID laws in the US are hurting me the most. I can't run my established accounts like I have in the past.

I can say though in general, the economy for most people is not improving. I am getting more low ball offers than every. Lots of messages about how broke everyone is.

I doubt this - he probably typed 23.50 and hence the auction is going up as people bid...eB isnt this glitchy...as of last night... .ca or .com you're on?

Aug saw a 40% drop

so far sucktember is doing better but not by much.... im surviving.... :surrender:

ha yea i have to cancel someones bid on an item cause they don't have enough on their card............ its item costs as much as a hair cut mind you... :confused:

So basically after thoroughly reading all of your posts I find myself correct about every single point I made, whether some of you agree with me or not. I believe many sellers here and abroad are still in denial about how bad the situation is with eBay. Our economy isn't where it was before 2008. Not even close. Many years ago eBay buyers didn't care spending more when purchasing off eBay. Nowadays they will fight you for literally one cent. When I read posts made by veteran sellers complaining about how difficult it has become to make decent profit on eBay I know we are in big trouble. I see eBay as titanic. Some sellers like myself and you are still holding on to the idea that it might get better while the entire ship is sinking. Just because a few sellers on this board are successful, it does not reflect the entire picture.

this is sales............it goes up....it comes down........ this is to be expected.

you can't go freaking out over 1 slow month, you know how many brick and mort businesses operate in the -neg before they go back to profit. Sometimes you just gota spin the cash flow with no profit.. this is business.

If you expect to just be walking away with a wad of cash in your pocket every week like clockwork with no bumps or humps, then you need to find somethign else to do.

This isn't supposed to be easy, nothing ever is.

No one said it was supposed to be easy. It wasn't easy 5 years ago either but we were making steady profit. If you can't make steady profit then you are in the wrong business buddy. Go back to your 9 to 5 office job then.

if you think you should make the exact same profit, day in, day out.. no matter the time of the year.. what your comp is doing... how the econ is doing...... you are the one that needs a 9 to 5.

consumers are fickle.....this is the business you are in.

What wrong with being objective for once? Oh okay let's pretend eBay is a wonderful place. If it is such a wonderful place to sell then why are you here? This entire forum was create out of necessity because people have had difficult time to stay on eBay platform let alone make profit.

Where have I said that I was expecting to make EXACT same profit everyday? I am talking about Chinese sellers who are undercutting everyone else. At this point some products aren't even worth to sell anymore because you are only going to lose money. I am talking about buyers who don't have enough money on their credit card to pay for a product worth less than $10. I am talking about buyers extorting you in order to get something for free. I am talking about no views, broken search engine, glitches, poor customer service support for both PayPal and eBay.

I found this place for other reasons. Its a nice open place to talk about eb4y without them watching what you are saying.

Im not saying its some awesome wonderful place, but you just can't take some sand in the face and not try ot figure out why its happening.

if you are getting over run by chinese 0.99 cent sellers figure another angle, or maybe expand your product line.
I've gone head to head with those guys and YOU DO have an edge, you just have to point it out.

The only edge you have is by pointing out that you are US SELLER. Everyone knows this "trick" however remember that buyers expect free shipping. They don't care to wait for 3 weeks when buying from Chinese seller but god forbid your item doesn't reach them within 3 days if you are US seller.

Shipping can be, and is a big deal to a lot of people.
Most of my feedback (Positive and Negative) are because of prompt shipping. Or lack of it.
