When does a buying account have raised selling limits?
I have 2 legit accounts. 1 selling and 1 buying. The 1 selling account took some violation hits. I never sell with my buying account, just buy. I have a 100/5000 limit on the buying account. Question is, how long does the selling limit get raised when all you do is buying? I have read some people here with selling experience say they have buying accounts getting prepped up to be selling accounts. Thanks.

Re: When does a buying account have raised selling limits?
Yes, it must be that my legit buying account was the first every account I had with ebay, 2002 i think?
But I do have high selling limits on this legit buying account. I was just recalling what Here We Go Again said on the thread about paying your fees safely.
He was reminding us of his experience with paypal fees and telling us how he has several buying accounts prepping up to be selling accounts.
That is what got me thinking whether or not buying accounts can have limits raised, even though Here We Go Again never said that.
Re: When does a buying account have raised selling limits?
Selling limits tend to go higher only with selling activity - and hitting the max limits on your sales....simply letting it sit around without maxing the limits....I would think chances are low to nil to have increase
"I would like a sales limit increase" - "You have 100 item limit and you dont sell so why do you need more?" - "Uh...just because I like bigger numbers"..." /brief pause MC999 to you sir...send in documentation...etc." - "Oh sh*t!"

Nope, nada, never ever. I know for sure because my screen name is similar to my real name and I usually don't sell under my real name. It feels weird to me. And even if it was true, didn't everyone say that if you want to sell again, they treat it as a new sellers account with restrictions? I still have that 100/5000 on it
Re: When does a buying account have raised selling limits?
It was created in early 2000. Maybe 2002 I think. It was the first account I have ever had. It's the seller account that got some dings recently. The seller account was in 2005. I'm still replaying what Here We Go Again said about how he has several buying accounts making it ready to become seller accounts. I'm like thinking, if buying activity doesn't make a difference, then what's the point? But I do have a buyer's account with me with high selling limits and never sold anything. So maybe Here We Go Again's post has validity.

Accounts made around the time you stated later in the post 2002 that shared the same info had selling limits attached.
Selling limits are on the buying account even if it has never sold.
Back in the day, we used to make two accounts together and link them with the same info.
