Default Popped my negative feedback cherry

I got my first negative feedback.

Apparently I sent this guy 2 of an item, when he purchased 4.

I'm not quite sure if this guy is trying to scheme me, or if it was an error on my part, but damn does it suck to take that negative feedback!

This negative feedback came when I was at 290 positive feedback. Selling limit is 200/$10,000.

So what now? How does this negative feedback impact my account and my chances of limit increases? How does it impact the way ebay will be looking at my account? Is there anything I can do to minimize damages? I contacted the buyer, and will do everything I can to right every wrong, but unfortunately negative feedback is negative feedback and I'm not sure there's anything I can do to change that.

Looking for some comfort here! haha

I do know that he ordered 4 items and I know which 4 items he ordered. However, he is claiming he only received two. I have been placing a lot of orders lately, so it is hard for me to recall if I accidentally shipped only 2. It gets buggy when I have a lot of items to ship in one day. I gotta be more attentive!

When I search through for the orders I need to ship, I go into ebay's "sold" section and look for the tracking number that matches the slip I have in hand. It could be that I did not scroll down far enough to see the third and fourth orders he placed. This is the only way in which I can see myself making this error.

After you print the shipping labels, how do you match what product goes with which shipment? Today I had 50+ shipments, and it gets difficult to search through the "sold" section and find out what products are going with what tracking number. I've been thinking... there's gotta be an easier way! Is there??

also,

I see some sellers with negative feedback and underneath it the sellers have a response to the negative feedback. How do you do that? I don't see the option for that.

Most shipping label systems will let you print a packing slip with the label. I suggest you look into this.

Because eBay has the most unintuitive screens and they change weekly I can't tell you exactly where it is off the top of my head. But go to your feedback page scroll all around and there should be a link that says respond to feedback left or something like that.

I print all my labels to pdf and name them to correspond with the date, item and last name of purchaser.........example 10.4 sippy cups harris

then I can always reprint if I need to, and it is easy to find a label if I need to for any reason, a couple of times an item didn't track for some reason, a couple times I missed one in my mass printing, just reprinted the label and reshipped.

Click on your positive feedback number from anywhere in eBay. Scroll to the bottom of the pace and click on the link that says "Reply to Feedback received"

I also love the TITLE of this thread about your "negative feedback cherry"...

This sounds like a huge improvement over my current methods! How do you "print to pdf" exactly??

I would message him and tell him that you will send 3 more if he is willing to remove the feedback.

I had done this about 3 times, all was well when I did and got them removed...

You can ask the buyer to remove the Negative feedback, of course you would need to send him a "Feedback Revision" form,,,the problem is that now (And even if he removes the feedback) the automatic Selling limit increases will stop,,,from this point on you will need to ask ebay for an increase.

WHAT?! that's ABSURD! Is this true?! How did you find this out? Unbelievable. They really will not dish out any limit increases because of ONE negative feedback that was revised to positive the next day?!

You could find yourself needing to get ebay to re-establish the increases.

They are tending to stop them automatically even if an issue has been resolved.

Just be aware and avoid trusting ebay.

I will go 1 Better,,,,It does NOT even have to be a Negative,,It could also be a Neutral feedback,,,Ebay views Neutral Feedback as a NEGATIVE "Buying experience" from the buyers point of view,,(What else's is New?)

I received a negative months ago on an account and it was my 3 rd feedback, today 4 months later this is a powerseller account and I received a raise in limits at feedback of 9 from 10/1000 to 100/10000 and this was on a 6 week account with the third feedback negative and the raise came after 7 positives in a row, just when the account earned the powerseller status that neg was removed.

So in my experience one neg definitely won't stop auto increases on US accounts at least and I also learned accounts u think are going to be scrap sometimes turn to gold
