| | | | | 90210 | 10-09-2013 10:03 PM | Account being ghosted, maybe I think eBay has effectively turned my seller's account into a buyer's account. This is my only account, not a stealth account, and all items are BIN. They gave me a max of 900 items I can list, so I listed close to 170 items--which I now think was a mistake.
Since Sunday I have zero sales and single-digit views (some views are still zero) on all items I have listed since this weekend (when all the problems with not being able to see your viewers started). I think it's because
1) I have multiple cases
2) This weekend was the first time my initial listings were starting to expire in larger numbers and as as a result my unsold to sold ratio jumped way up, so I think eBay has put me on their "invisible" list when it comes to searches.
I know this has happened to other people (last year around this time, it looks like), but my question is: what should I do--or is there anything I CAN do--to prevent this from happening when I create my stealth accounts? Does this happen to most people's accounts at one time or another as eBay plays round robbin with sellers' visibility?
Thanks for listening.....:mod: |
| smokescreen | 10-10-2013 03:11 PM | Re: Account being ghosted, maybe It may be due to the items showing up lower in search results, make some sales, work on your auctions, change things up, test and retest, if nothing works then start with a fresh account but a 900 limit is probably at least worth the time of trying to make it work |

Re: Account being ghosted, maybe 2 VeRO violations...cases of damaged and missing and out of stock stories...VERY dangerous account...better have backups being made and build RIGHT away! |

Look to make new stealth accounts.
Revise your business plan as soon as possible.
Danger exists with drop-shipping.
Good Luck |

Never rely just on one account. |

I'd def start making stealths but , if u are having this many problems drop shipping than u need to find another or get the items urself.
I ran business all my life and I have to have the product in possession before listing and I even like picking up my inventory even though I can get it delivered
I need to be in control over everything because in business a lot if things can go wrong because of a lot of different people but in the end the owner u is held accountable |

I need to be in control over everything because in business a lot if things can go wrong because of a lot of different people but in the end the owner u is held accountable | I have all 5 stars and over 70 feedbacks at 100% satisfaction:
Item as described StarStarStarStarStar 22
Communication StarStarStarStarStar 23
Shipping time StarStarStarStarStar 24
Shipping and handling charges StarStarStarStarStar 26
More than a week and I've gone from 2 sales/day to total of 2 sales since Sunday. I almost wish I could delete all of my listings and just keep this account as a buyer's account b/c of the fear of jeopardizing my 12-year-old PayPal account if this EB account encounters trouble--but I am sure if I delete the listings instead of waiting for them to expire, EB wouldn't like that.
thanks for your input! |

If you do your research you should never really be buying in more stock than you need against the speed of sales from either competitors or what you think will sell.
Items being out of stock then not being able to fulfil is probably the biggest way to put your account into jeopardy. As Greenie says, re-think your business plan, buy a credit card and purchase stock on there. Once sales are made, clear CC and buy more stock. Rinse & repeat. The way you are going at the moment it doesn't matter how many accounts you have / make, its going to fail.
Good luck. |

| slapped | 10-14-2013 11:46 AM | Re: Account being ghosted, maybe With 2 V E R O Violations your items are getting the WORST Placement in search results,,,what you need to do is:
1) Create FRESH/NEW Stealth Accounts
2) SHUT Your Current account DOWN for at LEAST 6 Months
3) When you re-activate after a 6 Month rest, ONLY do AUCTIONS of SURE-FIRE NoN-VERO, 5 Star, Positive feedback items, for at least 3 Months--(Your account will CLEAR V E R O Violations (And any Negative Feedback) automatically after a YEAR of receiving them. |

After all my listings expire in 20 days, I am actually going to turn this account into a buyer's account ONLY so as not to jeopardize my PP account ever again and have both PP and EB accounts free to use for other transactions. I think disposable/stealth accounts with and without LLCs/EINs are the only way for me. It just isn't worth this stress! ~~ Thank you! ~~ |

Avoid using ebay and this paypal account. | So youre saying there is risk in using them exclusively for buying items on ebay? |
Re: Account being ghosted, maybe Buying is not really an issue - it's not bad to keep it active that way |
