Using specific items in background to identify a seller YES/NO?
Ive seen quite a few sellers use an object (Usually a stuffed animal or a piece of paper with their name on it) next to the items theyre selling. Generally, is this a good idea? I was thinking of using a certain popular object to put in the background of my auctions.
Anyone else here use something regularly in gallery images to identify themselves to buyers?

Some people like to use background items, or paper with their user name on it, to further prove to the buyer that the seller has the item on hand and available. It's just another way a reassuring the buyer. It can also be used to prevent people from using your pictures.
Yes, I do that when selling a popular item so other people cant steal my pics and so that people know that the item is available and in my possession and not dropshipped.
It is required by ebay to have you take a picture with your Ebay user ID on a peice of paper and also a receipt if available to list certain item such as Gift cards valued $500 or Iphones. It is located somewhere in Ebay long list of policies but I don't want to go looking for it right now. That is why people is putting it in there listings. I think it started when the PS3 (Playstation 3) was just released. Many scammers were copying photos taken off the web and using it to list that they got a PS3 or have them on preorder and took buyers money. hope this helps.
