Its only the 1st!!! Each day closer to christmas the more traffic I keep on getting. First holiday season and I'm LOVING IT!!!!!

Like I said in a earlier post, if your slow right now you really need to rethink your approach to selling. Mainly speaking to the newer people selling on eBay not the veterns who know their stuff. This should be the busiest time for you as a seller as its the time people spend spend spend spend spend!!!!

I suppose you're kidding, right?

I have some big accounts but I remove myself from them. Keep in mind I took 15 months off. I got burnt out in many ways and I don't care about money, so if I am not having fun, I sure as heck am not going to do it and if I am going to do it, I am going to make a lot of money for a lot of people. I know this sounds very weird.

How many accounts? I don't know for sure. I recently purchased a handful from 123 and owe him for a handful more this week. I was buying 30 at a pop for a while and I built a bunch too. I am sure many members have a heck of a lot more than me. I am just playing and testing these days.

The last two days have been slow on BIN compared to last weekend-tuesday night. I expect Sunday evening through all next week to be insane.
This is my normal. It goes in surges with Sunday-Monday being best.

It will just take SO long to get the exposure that you'd get from ebay....

Tho, the sooner you start, the sooner you'll get exposure. I still haven't started my website, but I need one.

Ladies and gentleman, they are hiding our listings. I think they decided to get rid of as many sellers as possible by sabotaging everyone's listings this close to holidays. Ebay lost some traffic and some buyers over security breach and Google downgrade but it's difficult to believe there aren't enough buyers to accommodate most sellers on eBay.

That is what i have been trying to explain. Yesterday i sold 15 items in 2 hours! Today, barely sold one. Our listings are not visible anymore. They are hiden by ebay. I strongly believe that they want to seperate sells between sellers. In my opinion, ebay seeks all competitors to get benefit from the market equally.

It seems like it got even worse after August 20th when they introduced their defect rating system. Are they doing it purposefully this time of the year in order to discourage and eliminate as many sellers as possible? It seems this way to me. Not to mention there is big influx of con artists, scammers or just plain nasty people who leave negative feedback if you do not comply with their demands (extortion). Seriously eBay has become one of the most corrupt companies I personally am aware of.

It is even getting worse.. I have decreased the price, i still sell slow as hell.

Perhaps, as you suggested before, they screwed up their search system..

People just cannot reach to our listings.

But you are not in a market that would be effected by the holiday season?

You guys do know its December right?

If you sales are still slow something is wrong. Right now should be the peak of your sales (generally speaking) you need to re-evaluate what your selling, how your selling it, and how eBay sees your accounts (i.e burying your listings) ...etc.

You shouldn't be slow this time of the year, simple as that.

Everyone makes money in december, if your not getting any [emoji383][emoji384][emoji385][emoji385][emoji386][emoji387][emoji388][emoji389] $$ in December you need to reevaluate your life plan.

The person who said they had one sale that day seller parts to repair luxury items. He should be slow in December. People are buying gifts, not fixing stuff, especially not luxury items.

i also do have an account that sells watches. And that, was my one sale that day. It should be a little higher during this season.

But, as far as my parts account. Keep in mind, that a lot of people are buying used watches as gifts, and they usually need a part or two to repair them. Majority of the time, they need a link, because the watch bracelet is too short.

All around, my sales this month are lower then last month.

If ebay buries your listing, or doesnt show it in search results, then you do have options to try and fix things. Look in to how cassani operates and try to use it to your advantage. There are things you can do. For example I have items that when I first list, I get a few sales as new listings enter near the top of the search ranking. After 24-48 hours it slides down as other people publish their new listings.

So I ask myself, what can I do? The answer is pretty simple.

With regards to people saying december is the busiest month, if you cant make money now then something is wrong. I say to you - that is black and white thinking. There are many variables, the main one being what you sell. The summer months are my best months, not december. Which is the opposite of most people.

I say good luck to all sellers here, we are a community after all.

Knock on wood but I am having my best December in probably 5 years. Will see how it plays out. I still swear that eBay traffic is down from the mid to late 2000's.

I spent lots of time this year looking in the mirror trying to retool my business model and products on eBay. It was 2014 and I had a 2008-09 eBay business model that wasn't working anymore. I have got more up to date and it has paid off thus far.

Good luck to everyone hope sales go well this next week or so.

Your stuff better have some good profit margins, because what you're implying, would make your listing costs double or triple, depending on how often you suggest the listings get relisted?

I run all my listings at 3 days on BIN. I never do any longer.

3 days? Really? Sounds expensive... I also do the 50 cents UK visibility, because I get a lot of traffic from the UK and overseas.

I guess I could always experiment, but id have to figure out what types of listings would do better if they were shorter. Because the 10% FVF already takes a lot of the profit.

And watch category never seems to get free insertion fees either.

Test it.

I don't worry about the $0.50 but that is insignificant to my margins also I almost never have to relist.
