Default eBay/PayPal cheating with fees...?

I'm selling on some European eBay websites right now and becaused i get my eBay bill in USD, they always convert the fees from Euros to USD according to the daily rate. No problem with that, but I've noticed something ...when buyers pay immediately with BuyItNow, they buy the item and pay only about 1 minute later. The exchange rate doesn't change that fast, according to eBay and PayPal themselves, they have a fixed rate for the entire day.

Guess what? On the same sale, eBay converted 1 Euro of fees into 1.28 USD of fees. When the money hit my PayPal account only seconds later, it got converted at a rate of 1 Euro equals 1.22 USD.

Meaning, eBay charges me MORE while PayPal gives me LESS.

Actually that's dirty and illegal.

See Euro - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The lowest ever exchange rate of the EUR to USD this year was 1 euro equalling $1.2460 USD on October 27, 2008.

That is the record low for this year. PayPal is scamming you once again.
