| | | paypalpains | 01-24-2015 11:29 AM | Whats a good monthly take ? what are your numbers? Just wanted to know/find out and of course share how much business you are doing a month.
So many sellers I see selling 2-3 pound items with a few high priced items , churning out 5 figure sales a month, that must take some doing and a quite a workforce too, unless they are out sourcing etc.
Anyway that is another topic.
Lets talk numbers, what would you consider to be worthwhile month to month how many sales are you making and what is the total monthly sales amount.
I am not doing anywhere near those big boy figures, however i am averaging 1k a week from 100 odd sales , doesnt take a genius to wrk out my average price point . my month sales are 350-400 items and 4500 -5000 a month.
(this is just one account)
I am a one man band with no overheads, no office, no warehouse, so not much going out.
What are you doing?
Oh my account is stealth, and i have been going since 2011 on this particular account. |

| yankee | 01-24-2015 12:46 PM | Re: Whats a good monthly take ? what are your numbers? We have a newer member who posted up seller fees of 50k per month and states total fees over nine accounts is 900K monthly.
Some of us sell a few hundred K a month and others cant sell anything. |
| paypalpains | 01-24-2015 12:58 PM | Re: Whats a good monthly take ? what are your numbers? not lucky, just worked out a way to limit the limitations, i have 3 accounts from that year, ans now a few new ones from 2014, i do not make many .
I can very well believe the ammounts, however it would require a workforce, I am teetering on the edge of going full blown or just stay steady eddie by myself, pull in x amount a year, which would be much more than any job would offer and be done with it.
im on a 60 40 split in my favour , from 60 k in a year i take 36k for me the rest is stock and fees, its not the best, but its not the worst, and i am growing every month at the moment.
Dont see why it should be taboo, you have no idea what i am selling , moreover you do not know me, so nothing to be worried about.
Is good to talk share, communicate and learn. I am always looking for ways to improve and add stock.
To be honest , it is pretty easy to figure what you need to do , just need to source at the right price point. |

So if they need to do 200K for a 40K return , thats quite a shift for a little return.
so your man might be doing 900K but whats his net profit ? |
| yankee | 01-24-2015 01:16 PM | Re: Whats a good monthly take ? what are your numbers? It is a member here, nothing to do with me.
Profit and sales are two totally different things.
This is a taboo topic and some members get a bit upset about it. Some will even call you a liar if you are doing better than them. Some even hijack every thread.
Just a heads up. |

Dont worry about the haters, anyone is not worried feel free to join in and welcome to contribute in growing sales and increasing turnover.
Be great to help and encourage others as well as learn myself.
You know my numbers, i will post when they jump again, as I am about to add a different line to the lines I offer, and this way attract new and different customers I otherwise would not get, (of course that is if they are interested in the item)
Is a good way to grow your main business, sell items that have got nothing to do with your main business. There is a tip for you , think i will create a tips thread too. |

Like I said I am still on the fence on whether I want to go all in, or just keep it as it is, am ok, I dont need much :) |

If I don't make 10K a month I get pretty pissed off.
My goal every year is to make ateast 10k a month until September gets here...then I take off the rest off the year and do nothing at all except hunt everyday if I'm able to.
I have no complaints about my life at all...I enjoy what I do. Any job where can be sitting in my treestand and making money if I want is kinda hard to complain about.
I have very little overhead and no employees. |

| oompaloompa | 01-24-2015 02:13 PM | Re: Whats a good monthly take ? what are your numbers? I am not talking about 10k a month, that is realistic but my guess is that alot of the very high numbers on the forum are untrue.
You have to take it with a pinch of salt
people that make that much, do not need to brag, and that is in real-life too.
A medium to high biz on both ebay and amazon can expect to make 10k per month, this would involve having staff and shipping alot of product. |

You can search and find sellers and what they are selling and how much they are selling on ebay, its not hard to do . |
Re: Whats a good monthly take ? what are your numbers? Just out of curiosity, why are you so interested in knowing what others are making? Is it the "My Stick is bigger than your stick?", The whole "How much do you make?" questions seems to come up about every few months by different members, never quite understood why. |

This is where I am at the moment, and if there are people out there who can help me grow and expand then that will be great, if there are people who are in the same place as me, and want to grow, I am happy to help them, and happy to learn from them we aswell.
Been on this site for years mate, not new , thanks all the same |

I do not have any intention on getting any bigger. The bigger you are and the more you make just brings more problems along with it.
I don't brag at all, 10k a month is plenty for my family and myself to live on.
There are a few people on here I would like to call out onn there BS earning they say they make but I could really care less about what another person makes. I'm happy with what I have!
I do ship alot to make that number but I do not have employees.:typing: |
| yankee | 01-24-2015 03:43 PM | Re: Whats a good monthly take ? what are your numbers? I don't think many people post what they make or at least I have not noticed anyways. Some share screenshots of sales etc...
Lots of big sellers on ebay and amazon. Hard to say who is busy and who is doing well and quite frankly, who cares? | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:12 PM. | |
