Default Returns in stealth accs

As it is well known, if a seller accepts return, it automatically counts as a defect in stats. And if a seller finds a compromise with the buyer, and he no longer wants a return, and cancels the case, this will not count as a defect in the stats.

In my case, buyer has bought a brand new sealed item, then claimed that it is broken, which is not true, as the part that was claimed to be broken, can be broken only along with the entire package. Buyer refuses to send any photos of the damages. From one side, it is a clear scam. From another side, I sell high risk stuff, and if I report this buyer, reps may decide to kill my account for "security reasons", even though it has 100% positive feedback and is in a decent shape.

I wonder, what is the best way in this situation? My opinion is just to refund him, get the case closed from his side, block him and and forget it. But I want very much to leave him a neg saying he's scammer, but afraid that it can damage my own account. Any suggestions?

Just take it as a loss, one loss is not worth the hassle of having your account looked into.

That moron received refund and closed the case with the reason "Refund already received". So basically he got an item for free and I got a defect.

If this is the same item, you hardly appear to have made an effort to communicate with the buyer and go for resolution.

All you appeared to want was revenge. was that the case?

I asked the buyer several times to send photos of the damages, and offered a replacement, but all of this was ignored, he just sent the item back. The only option was to report him, but as we all know, reporting draws too much attention to the acc, and can cause more problems.

Muzzie, you seem to have a lot of issues with buyers....more than anyone I've seen on this forum.....

I have them because I have lots of accounts and sales. And the items are high-risk ones.

Did you phone and speak to the buyer?

I can agree with your expectation it would be unusual for the item to get broken. But under those circumstances, extra efforts are needed.

If you are selling that many items, even over several accounts, you have to have a ball park figure where you can take a refund.

I did not see anything to suggest you went down that path. It now seems your hopes of avoiding harm backfired.

For the future, may I suggest changing tactics.
