Re: Limits increase schedule?

You know, everyone keeps talking about limits raising automatically. My main account, didn't move anywhere until I called in. My second account ( stealth), hasn't moved anywhere in 2 years. 2 YEARS! Bought it from a member here at $5000 limit. I've ended some months listing $4995. Ended some months with $2500 in sales out of the $5000 limit. Not a budge. I'm sick of hearing about these automatic limits. I could have called in over a year ago, and never have, because I was always worried about the boogeyman this forum keeps screaming about. So yeah, I'm glad someone has the balls to go against the system

That's why I started the original (since deleted) thread (that included video proof) about calling eBay. I wanted to show people it was possible, and not only that, but EASY! A lot of people speculated that I was trying to harm the forum, or troll, or whatever, but honestly, when day after day people post threads (just like this one!) about how they have had their account limits maxed out for X months and never seen an "automatic" increase, it makes me put my head in my hands. It's perfectly fine to wait for "automatic" increases, if that's what works for you and your business, BUT, not everyone has the time, patience, money or resources to handle 5 or 10 accounts while waiting for the "automatic" increases, which is the reason WHY eBay allows people to call and request limits in the first place.

I am NOT on a campaign for everyone to call eBay. I only want those who desire increases NOW instead of at some indefinite point in the future to know

A. It's possible.

B. It's easy.

C. How to do it.

That's it.

If calling doesn't make since to you because you can make accounts with 1000 limits in your sleep, great! Awesome job! 95% of members here DO NOT have that knowledge, so for them, it helps to know there are alternative methods.

Re: Limits increase schedule?

I'm not commenting in calling in or not calling in, that is up to the seller and how they want to run their accounts, there's many different ways to operate successfully.

But making multiple accounts does not need to be expensive Ghost, I make my accounts for free.

Not exactly free, but if you have a home connection, such as Comcast, and you can easily switch IPs by changing your MAC address in router settings, so u can get unlimited IPs

Than I'll use a free App for a phone number, entropay for a VCC, and really assuming my internet bill is paid each month the only cost is the 1.95 I transfer to a VCC I make with entropay.

I'll also use tracfone, but when they have these sales where u get 6 phones for $5.31 I'll purchase a lot

So I'll either use a phone that was purchased for less than $1 or a free App for a number and Entropay for a VCC

SO each account costs me 1.95 to 2.95 to make and than my comcast internet bill , so accounts don't need to be an expensive cost

Completely agree! I've tried stating this in other threads, as the argument against calling eBay is often something along the lines that "an account costs $50+, risking it by calling" and I tried to iterate my point (earlier in this thread, actually) that the accounts *I* make are very inexpensive!

I have Time Warner, works the same for me. Unfortunately, not all members have access to dynamic IPs. My advice is well-suited for them. :)

Actually it's even cheaper if you just transfer $1 dollar from your "Default" Entropay card. Cost per card is only 1.20 (20 cents for transfer fee) and after you create and verify the account, you can delete the account and the dollar gets transferred back to the "Default" card. Total cost per VCC? 20 cents. Hope that tip helps! :)

Could you PM me the name of the app you use for phone #'s? And also, can you tell me how you keep track of the Tracfone sales? Is there an email notification I can sign-up for? Much appreciated! =}

Re: Limits increase schedule?

Some Kroger stores have tracfones for $4.99 but they run out of stock quick

Dmshark25 06-15-2015 04:50 PM

Re: Limits increase schedule?

For Entropay I'm just talking about the $1.95 test charge, I didn't include whatever the small fee would be, that's where I came up with $1.95

Also I won't confirm the VCC until I complete creating the seller account and once I know I have limits and it's not a dud 0/0 than I'll confirm the card

So I can just delete the VCC and the $1.95 will go to my default card and I can use that for another account

The phone App I use is TEXTNOW

Lately i been using tracfones because of the deal where they have been giving them away for free u just need to pay $5.31 for shipping, but TEXTNOW ,works, u also get an email if someone calls or texts that number

U just need to make a text like every 10 days to keep the number active

I just log into tracfone.com once a month, so far there was a deal in December and another a month or two ago, so I just loaded up each time, they also come with 20 minutes and 60days of service

Re: Limits increase schedule?

Now that I'm making money I also have other devices and services I pay and use, but they are things I added over the last 3 years and not necessary but make operations easy

But when I started I didn't have much money so , it is possible to make a stealth and run it well with not much

Re: Limits increase schedule?

What advantages are there to the "test charge"? I've never done it. Should I start?

Re: Limits increase schedule?

It confirms the PayPal and it does make an account stronger

Dmshark25 06-15-2015 06:15 PM

Re: Limits increase schedule?

It also lifts the send/withdraw limits, by verifying your bank and confirming your VCC

The test charge is less than 2 dollars, highly worth making an account stronger.

Much appreciated James, Dmshark, and Speeder. I will start doing that from now on my PayPal accounts. =}

Re: Limits increase schedule?

I was told by ebay before I was suspended on my real account that the way the limits on the account works is very similar to the way you have a credit limit on a credit card. So maxing out your card with low limits and paying it off will yield high limits. Maxing out a high limit card will yield risk as if you can pay it back or not. Most credit cards have automatic increases no late payments etc and some you have to call in for manual review. So everybody can apply the credit card term to ebay. Weather you have good credit or not you can research it to figure it out.

It was usd500 before now its usd1000 . Sold one high risk item, shipped it and got great feedback, got limited by paypal in between, then unlimited, sold another item and did send it with tracking number, and got the increase :0

just got another increase 2 weeks after the last one from 10-20 / $1000-$2000.

Only sold about 2-3 items in between, however was $50 close to the $1000 mark. Didn't get any new feedback in between.

Oh, and I did pay my ebay fees a few days in advance.

Hope that helps

That's great man! Glad to hear you're successful.

Still doesn't approach day 1 limits on accounts that start with 0/0 (Google Voice) and they call in, but not bad!

Increased again, did hit the old limit 24 hours ago, and now they give me 40 /4000 :)

Had a return request in between and got one or two positive reviews.

Completely Agree with Play, I started a stealth with 5/$500 which I constantly hear people bitching about.....Now it's up 90/$9,000 within 30 days!

Sorry Play, but that simply isn't accurate....

Not a week goes by where someone isn't complaining about the limits increase schedule and how long it takes to go from 5/10 items to whatever, because it's been (60/90 days, 6 months, a year) and they haven't seen a single increase despite "perfect" feedback and DSR's, no VERO, no high risk...etc.

It appears to be completely random. There's no predicting it.

Just want to point out, Im here in the UK, I have numerous stealth accounts being operated simultaneously and my method is working fine. If its working for me, its working for me. Im not saying its a one method for all. But I am saying its working for me. If someone else is saying it working for them, I am just reiterating, it works. In which case, it works for them and it works for me. Doesnt meant it may work for everyone. No point going on and on, all I am saying is, it works for me.

Good job play, your right. :thumb:

At the end of the day if it works for you and what your selling that is the ONLY thing that matters.

As stated earlier, this is false. Numerous members have reported this is NOT the case for most people. You implied it works for EVERYONE, which it does NOT.
