Default does ebay favor big sellers?

i know that many of us had lost our accounts on ebay for whatever reason. I sometimes believe that ebay seller defect system is designed to work for 2 types of sellers. the person who has a full time job and sell maybe 5 items a month on the side for extra income. and the folks with 50k startup capital to purchase inventory to sell on ebay.

the people in between like lets say 20-30k startup where we are classified as small time sellers. tend to get hurt by the system much more easily.

what do you folks think?

I think the same but I have more start up capital.

Do you think that ebay makes more money from us small time sellers or big time sellers. I dont care if sellers are small or big, we all have to pay ebay fees but I still dont know why they favor them or us.

Maybe with the ebay downsizing going on, hopefully they can lower some fees, but I dont see that happening anything soon.

Bigger volume sellers obviously get more leeway with eBay because they are a bigger asset. However, I think eBay's metrics are the most important thing no matter how big of a seller you are. We already know that certain people who sell in high risk categories are treated differently than people who sell in other categories.

I'm not so sure if there is a one size fits all & Black or White answer to this question.

bigger sellers obviously. They're proper companies. They don't care about sellers with anything less than a mil a year turnover in my opinion. Its better for them to have big companies selling everything, providing the best service, no chance of them doing a runner etc

Bigger sellers. They bring big money, and are stable in paying huge fees. So, not worth killing them.

Of course they favor big sellers. Better to deal with 100 sellers selling $1m each than 1m sellers selling $100 each.

Yeah if you look at big sellers like Newegg best buy or toys rus you'll notice how their is no percentage below their company name.... I even question even if they even have a defect system for the big sellers
